It's not that the Eubanks did a media tour that upset me and quite probably other people, it's the fact they spouted nonsense that was lapped up by people who otherwise have no interest in the sport.

Both father and son claimed later that they could sense Nick was in trouble and showed mercy on him, a condescending, untruthful thing to say. Eubank simply couldn't knock Blackwell out, and he clearly tried his absolute best to do just that. The father seemed to me worried about losing a dodgy decision, and his advice to try landing body punches was clearly tactical.

The OP of this thread really is vile, the sort of person you hope to never meet in person, and who ruin the forum experience for fans of the sport wherever they raise their tiny, attention-seeking heads.

What a load of ****! The eubanks could of done what any normal sensitive human being would do and put out a family statement expressing there concern for blackwell. Not only did they not do that they ignored the wishes of his family who would of been going through hell at the time.

All in the name of the eubanks and to make themselves look like the good guys. Seriously who holds a press conference a couple of days after a lad you boxed was in a coma. It was an opportunity for the press to ask ridiculous questions like " would you rather have the win or blackwells health".

The eubanks are tools and I'm glad blackwell isn't shying away from exposing them

  4. That question was proposed in a interview not in a press conference.

The dummies are failing to see the irony of Blackwell accusing the eubanks of looking for attention, while he's selling his ass out for paychecks to on trashy daytime tv shows and whoring his ass out for donations which he hasn't even mentioned being grateful for.

A lot of Boxing fans are unbelivably stupid.

He also took back his comment in the guardian. said he couldn't remember making those comments about hitting Eubank in jaw

when asked if he would like to hit Eubank he said 'no'

Hes a nice kid anyone can see that. Just had his livelihood taken away from him. who cares if he makes a few quid. some bitter people out there indeed

  8. That's because his pr agent most likely caught onto the fact quite quickly that with those words he was losing the sympathy card.

Oh ''he's a nice kid'' you say. Why because he was put in a coma and then had his family beg for more money?

Or is it because he was ready and willing to dish out the same sort of punishment on Eubank before the fight, that was dished out on him?

Let me tell you something, if the tables were turned, Blackwell would have no sympathy for eubank, he would just say ''well that's boxing, Jnr runs his mouth a lot and thats what has got him in trouble''

So don't give me this ''he's a nice kid'' bs, things happen for a reason, to teach people lessons which from what we now know, Blackwell has not learnt.

It was an opportunity that Eubank snr could not turn down in his craving for attention.

Wow, I thought this was a boxing forum. Apparently not. It is clearly an outlet for desperate attention seekers (the OP) who try to appear tough and mean online. Embarrassing really.

If the Eubanks were asked not to talk about it they should have told Nicks family we release a short statement saying the following 'how they were very sorry to here nicks situation wish him all the very best, and a speedy and quick recovery and he's in their prays. Then people would know he felt bad about it and he wasn't talking out if turn.

I see where you are coming from but what business is it of Nick Blackwell's family if the Eubank's speak to the media? They have a right to take offence at anything they might have said - nothing too bad if I remember correctly - but they have no right to dictate what other people do or feel.

Nick then saying Eubank didn't come and see him when his family didn't seem to want anywhere near seems pretty unfair too. He prob should have thanked the boxing community for their support but spent his time talking about knocking people out. That whole interview was a huge PR own goal IMO.

Holding a 50 minute press conference whilst Blackwell was in a coma made them a huge news item. It could be argued that this was capitalising on the incident.

Blackwell is a joke. There were two people involved in the situation. CEJ had every right to give his side of the story and he handled the media with class. Even when that idiotic Channel 4 interviewer asked him if he would trade his belt for Blackwell's health. He was pure class in front of the media, expressed concern for Blackwell and attempted numerous times to reach out to his family on Twitter by asking for permission to come to the hospital.

In the press conference nobody said anything negative about Blackwell. Senior was defending his son.

Blackwell should show more respect to Senior. Whether he was trying to protect Blackwell with his instructions or not is a moot point, his advice still potentially saved his life.

    Disgraceful, bitter comments from Blackwell.

There was also a massive public interest in hearing the Eubanks speak.
