Why would GGG not counter offer a CW between 156-158?

He weights in between 158-159 for most of his fights.

Does that make sense to you? GGG not counter offering a weight better suited for him so that he can make a boat load of money?

 

I'd make a counter-offer for whatever weight Golovkin can make without draining himself. If Canelo is married to 155, then it's time to look at other options.

I doubt GGG can go below 158 without it having an adverse effect, so I'd offer that. The issue is, with the belt on the line, Canelo couldn't dictate a catch-weight. That's why he dropped the belt.

 

He has clearly become a better fighter after the fight. Canelo even said so himself. He also uses at least one Mayweather move since fighting him and he uses it very well.

I said he could probably drop 2 pounds. After that, every pound you drop can have a huge effect. If he could drop more weight without any problems at all, why wouldn't he just fight at 154 and destroy everyone there?

 

GGG always weighs between 158-159 so that means 156-157 is very doable

 

I mean, maybe? Like I said, if I was in GGG's team, I'd agree to a catch-weight that he can make safely. For all I know, 158 may be the lowest he can go with no detrimental effects. The last pound is always the hardest to lose.

This is clearly the biggest money fight for GGG, so I'd imagine they'll make it if the terms are amenable.

GGG may have just taken the upper hand though, since most fans are turning on Canelo.

I never lie, I don't make things up, I was in a rush that day, I had to leave and didn't have time to search the Internet looking for something you would accept as a credible source and because I was told about the offer I just assumed it was pretty much common knowledge and I posted a couple of what I admit now were truly awful posts when asked for a source.

Maybe I know too much, maybe I had inside info :shock: Naaah I didn't but I was told GBP had approached FW and made an offer to Smith again.

I get things wrong, I make the odd awful prediction but I don't make things up, I don't lie to prove points.

If you go and look now there are quite a few what I would assume you regard as credible sources confirming the offer was made :good
