Don't just underrate Parker based on his last performance until you see Joshua against someone of Takam's caliber. I believe Parker outclasses Joshua in the chin and heart departments. Joshua is the favorite no doubt but outside the current world champs I believe Parker has the best chance against AJ.
Worth mentioning Joshua gassed at times against Whyte (his only fight that went past 2/3 rounds?) and Whyte was way less effectively aggressive than Takam...
Joshua has a glass chin and lacks rounds against any name. I see no reason yet why he isn't a fraud waiting to be ko'd.
Joshua throws his straight right from the shoulder, parker ****s it before he throws it and his punches are wide, takam seen them coming all night, its when he puts them together he usually lands a few punches into the combo.i think his power is over rated aswell, hes not got 1 punch ko power imo.joshua would have to be favourite but parker will always be dangerous while hes in there
Ironically last I checked Parker has more one punch KOs, or PROPER KOs than AJ. Many of AJ's are with the other dude still standing. I do rate Joshua's power as higher, but I think Parker's power is being dissed a little too hard right now. The two guys Parker hasn't knocked out are two guys who have never been dropped by anyone not taking now illegal drugs.
Im not saying that hes not got power,he clearly has.but as good a chin as takam has got,he hit him with about 6 full on blows in around round 8 and takam fired back.if joshua did hed be out by the second if not the 1st punch imo
No, I don't think so. He didn't get Whyte out that easy and whyte was no Takam. Neither of us can know for sure, but.
I recon whyte will surprise s few ppl when hes back.takam was a let down in the fight,as durable as he was he just didnt throw anything when he had to.when parker put everything into that combo of about 10 punches he was spent but takam just didnt let the punches go
So turns out the elbow injury that was hassling Parker for the Bergman fight is still lingering, Parker is taking downtime prior to the Haumono fight to try and get things all back into shape - and have a short camp for it as well, I guess this is part of the reason for an "easy" fight. REALLY hope that it isn't an ongoing thing, could really derail things but also explains a bit.
At least parker will come to.fight....ajs best opponent is dillian whyte....he took him 7 rounds an nearly dropped him.....aj has imense power....and nothing else
Tbh i think they are going a bit too fast with parker, hes only 24.he is still a bit raw,i wouldnt throw him straight in with joshua now id fight another couple of the top 10 first
If his fights start getting shown on sky in the uk...then u know their building the 2017 showdown already
