Really? There are those who think the scummy little cheat should never be allowed back in a ring. Personally I hope to see his career take a big Larry O type trajectory upon his return.
Kid got the Goahead to return to the ring, and I think everyone deserves a 2nd chance. That said, he needs to prove himself all over again.
Someone he could of have seriously injured might not have been given a second chance. Lifetime bans are the the only bans that should be issued in a redhanded case.
Your naive if you think the majority of boxers or not taking something to enhance their performance. There will always be products that are one step ahead of the testers, as you can't test for something that doesn't knowingly exist yet ! Make it a battle of the chemists, open season, fill your boots, probably fairer than it is now. I'm an ex pro cyclist and there was a time when if you wanted a career, and not be slower than the others then you had jump on the drug bandwagon or find a different career.
Cyclists don't throw potential lethal blows at each other. I'd go one further and have them on assault charges or worse.
so it's fairer if one is clean throwing non lethal punches and the other one isn't and throwing lethal ones ? Sadly it's the only way for a level playing field for the reason I sighted above
Why not bring back gladiatoral combat while we're at it. As long as they have the same access to weapons of course. Boxing has to be clean or it has to go. I'd rather it stays around.
It never goes, it only goes underground where is no regulations or doctors on call to save people like Nick Blackwell. You will never ever eradicate drugs from sport, the ego and money associated with wining will make sure of that
Nobody said we would ever eradicate drugs from sport, just that those caught, especially in combat sports should never be allowed to return
But it adds abit if spice back to the bantamweight uk scene.....quigg and frampton are just plain boring from an entertaining outlook
