Honestly!! This figh twould be even bigger than against GGG! Why??

Floyd is considered, due to his resume, as the "TBE" by the media. McGregor is one of the best MMA fighters out there.

They will meet in the Octagon. This is going to be Boxing vs. MMA at elite level!! No Mercer vs. Silva or Tony vs. Couture. Two active fighters who can well represent the sport.

I am only worried about Floyd's grappling. He has not much punching power, I think there won't be a knockout. Can Floyd resist being forced to grapple for the whole fight? Can he train his legs enough till the showdown?

I am really hyped and cheer for Floyd, he has to represent our beloved sport in the cage. He should hire Ernesto Hoost. He's a good trainer. I trained with him once in the Netherlands. He's very good in teaching some Muay Thai basics for absolutey beginners that Floyd could need well.

This fight is going to write history!

Uh no, he isn't. He can beat smaller featherweights but there are several lightweights that are better than him. Nurmagomedov would end him. Dos Anjos would end him.

Mayweather - McGregor is a farce and shouldn't be sanctioned. If Andre Ward vs Murdock was labelled a mismatch then this BS fight should be rejected as well because that is even worse.

Props to mcgregor for being the first mma fighter to cross over and fight a good boxer.
    Mcgregor just proving a point, that he doesn't need Dana's ***** a s a to make money.

Why cross over? They will fight under MMA rules or not? Everything else wouldn't make sense. Floyd doesn't want to hurt his legacy by fighting a MMA fighter in the boxring. :huh

    He fought a dumb fight
Tried to blast him out of there with out doing his homework.
    Got arrogant
    It happens.
First time I saw him fight out of character. He took it all in and knows why he lost.

Why would you respect either man for doing this? If it's a boxing match then Mayweather destroys McGregor. If it's an mma fight then Mayweather gets etherized. I like fair competitive matches, not ones that are over in ten seconds. If you feel nostalgic go watch Toney vs Couture or Mercer vs Silva and see two guys out of their depth with no business in a sport. Go watch Mayweather vs Big Show if you want to see a set up or Ali vs Inoki for a farce of a freak fight.

It's MMA. Every martial art is allowed to choose the best. A Prime Mike Tyson would have easily beat Overeem in the Octagon.

I can't tell if you're trolling or being delusional. It's been stated constantly that if this match takes place it's not MMA rules, it's a boxing match

Maybe, maybe not. Can Tyson wrestle? I imagine that he'd be aggressive enough to knock whoever he was up against out in the first minute and it wouldn't come to that. But in the case of two non-overlapping styles like boxing and wrestling, whoever gets off first usually wins. Floyd is a master of defensive boxing but nothing he does would work in mma. It's actually the worst boxing style you could bring to mma. He doesn't have Tysonesque power to just roll over anyone, so it's only a matter of time before he gets taken down and put to sleep.

His whole style is predicated on being able to clinch people, smother them for a second and wait for the referee to break them up. None of that happens in mma. When a guy gets close enough to clinch, he's going to strangle Floyd or break his arms. Even if this were just limited to kickboxing, Floyd's legs are way to exposed. He'd have his knees and thigh kicked out from under him until he couldn't walk. His style wouldn't even work in boxing forty years ago, because he'd be disqualified for holding and stalling.

Also, it's not really mixed martial arts where every martial art has an equal chance. It's a unique grappling sport with numerous rules that limit the effectiveness of striking. Look at the list of "fouls" 3/4 of them are strikes that would stop a person from having an advantage in grappling with you.

This is why GGG fans should refrain from commenting on sports all together

First off Floyd will be fighting a guy who is 0-0 as a boxer in a boxing match secondly McGregor is far from the best Mma fighter ever he just got tapped out by a B level fighter but then again this is a fan who respects a guy who has yet to step and fight anyone of note!

Stylistically Diaz is a much tougher fight than dos anjos. Height reach chin cardio toughness boxing.I think McGregor beats dos anjos
