Who are you dudes sticking up for this joke of a commission. Are you 2nd rate officials looking for work or something? Some one said they are honest and the least corrupt because they go by boxrec computer rankings. Computer algorithms just don't work. Before Gonzales last fight he was ranked p4p number 33 then he beats an ordinary opponent and goes to #4. It's best left to corrupt humans to do the rankings. They say they give a fair shake to every one. That might be alright for the fringe top 50 but what about the guys at the top. They're not interested in no sh!ty ibo title. Of co**** they brag about GGG and Klitscho being ibo champs but those guys cleaned up all the titles in their weight divisions. RJJ was a wbf champ ffs. The Ibo is big in Australia and South Africa but those places are the back waters of world boxing. Zac Dunn relinquished his sm title with out defending and Jack Asis has never defended his title choosing instead to fight stuff like the wba oceana title. Most people recognize that one of the main things wrong boxing is too many commissions with too many titles so if you are a true boxing fan don't encourage these 5th rate circus acts rather push for a reduction in the # of commissions
I worked for the IBO for 15 years. Never ever has there been any underhand talk or unfairness. The ratings were produced by the IWBR then, not Boxrec. I agree they are perceived as the 5th organisation but they are certainly not corrupt like the others and if they were supported more the titles would be more valuable. They actually want to do everything that many think is the way boxing should be. They just don't have the ability to adminaster eliminators and select the number 1 v number 2 contenders. Boxing works like that for the big4 but the big4 don't put people in the ratings that are involved with other organisations. The IBO rates everybody so a number 23 looks bad. If you look at the work I do via www.premierboxingorganisation.com you can see the real independent ratings of the ABCs top 15.
Then why was there no drug testing for Green-Tarver despite it being IBO rules? http://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing/...ght-boxing-title/story-e6frf5h3-1226477209685 and here's the drug testing rules from the IBO website. http://www.iboboxing.com/world_rules_regulations.html Tarver was pinged next fight against Kayode but why was he not tested against Green?
WBC is the worst of all sanction bodies. It always breaks its own rules and regulations. I remembered this well when Lennox Lewis got the WBC Heavyweight Championship Belt without fighting anyone, ODLH didn't get his WBC Championship Belt stripped after 2 years of inactive, and a lot more...
You follow boxing and u had no idea why he retired in the first place when he was still in his early 30's? C'mon :nut
To be honest hardly anyone reports they are retired. Plenty of people are inactive and fight a few years later. Had we known it would not have been sanctioned.
Disagree. That distinction goes to the WBA. Time to #DerecognizeWBA for having multiple champions at the same weight. It's absurd.
Lennox wanted passionately to fight Rid**** Bowe for that title. Instead of manning up Bowe & Newman staged the" dump the WBC belt in the garbage" lunacy. They knew Bowe could NEVER beat Lewis. Newman as good as admitted that to me himself in Dallas many years ago CORUPTION & $$$$$$$$ ARE BOXINGS CANCERS.
How many times has that cheating scum Mayweather "RETIRED " now ???? He ought to be forcibly retired from all aspects of boxing until he provides a LEGITIMATE, BELIEVABLE excuse for IV gate. Same goes for the NSAC , USADA & Vegas boxing as they have aided & betted his cheating for years it seems I personally believe, judging by his actions over the years, all his cookies didnt get fully baked
