June 10th in London for the vacant Euro cruiser title. (dumped by Tony Bellew so he can try for the vacant WBC title versus Ilunga Makabu) Both men have a bit of history with this belt. Kucher is coming off a split draw with undefeated Belgian jab-and-mover Bilal Laggoune - who sort of resembles a less talented CW version of Amir Khan in the ring - in September challenging for it last time it was vacated (by Rakhim Chakhkiev). Maccarinelli actually claimed it way back in 2010 with a two-minute shellacking of Alexander Kotlobay, only to lose it a few months later in his first defense being KTFO by Alexander Frenkel. Intriguing clash of attributes here. Kucher has solid, above-average power along with a pretty sturdy chin (but is hittable). Maccarinelli is taller and longer, probably the cleverer boxer, and has LOADS more ordinance in his fists...but is a glass cannon.
This is the definition of a pick 'em match, I lean Enzo on points, I think Kucher while a decent puncher, doesn't pack the necessary firepower to take Enzo out, but he did get KO'd by Afolabi. So who knows, his glass can shatter at any time, and sometimes it holds up.:conf
I think Kucher has one of the best chins in the division judging from the way he soaked up everything Makabu threw at him. He took some hellacious shots in that one but at no point do I recall thinking he looked hurt. Makabu cracked him with a lot of big shots too. Enzo has one, if not the, worst chins at the weight. Enzo has plenty of power though. Be quite something if he actually stopped Kucher or knocked him out.
My top 15 today 1-Lebedev 2-Usyk 3-Glowacki 4-Drozd 5-Briedis 6-Makabu 7-Dorticos 8-Huck 9-Cunningham 10-Mchunu 11-Wlodarcyk 12-Arslan 13-Kucher 14-Kalenga 15-Gussiev
Sure. How far off are we? I'm stuck at work but on break for the next half an hour...might be worth getting no-****d on data charges to stream this on my phone. :think Someone is getting KTFO here. :deal
