really looking forward to this saturday night, great getting a big show back on tv in scotland but how do you see the fights pan out?

burns vs di rocco: no matter how much i want burns to win i think he might get beat on a close points decision. billy nelson has said on here before that he isn't really competitive at super lightweight and he worked with him during the best years of his career and knows him better than anyone. i hope i am wrong and burns can bring the title back to scotland and we can get more big nights up here:good

nurse vs limond: nurse has looked a bit better his last couple of fights but imo limond might have a bit too much kingcraft for him and i expect limond to win on a close points decision:good

****inson vs mccarthy: i like ****inson and haven't seen that much of mccarthy but if their team wasn't confident that he could beat ****inson they wouldnt be taking it at this stage of his career. still thing ****inson will win on points.:good

    other fights on bill

ryder should be an easy nights work against his opponent

joe ham who i rate pretty highly is in quite a disappointing fight and i would have expected a bit more from his team tbh, especially when you hear his dads opinion on the level he is at already.:good

flynn vs cesar: this could be a potential banana skin for flynn, cesar is no mug and can punch a wee bit, maybe not big enough for flynn though so i expect flynn on points:good

ryan smith vs al hamidi: another fight i don't see the point of, smith is a very good prospect and i don't see what he will learn in this fight.:good

burt vs asagba: stuart is a nice guy but not sure he will do big things as a pro but he is in with an undefeated fighter who will have ambition so it might be a good fight. expect burt on points:good

sam ball vs hennon: another guy that really impresses me is sam ball, style that is suited to the pro's. like burt he is taking on an undefeated fighter and imo it will be a ******* of a fight with sam winning by tko:good

paulin vs botham: rate lewis paulin but don't think this opponent does anything for him tbh. paulin win points

no interest in the other fights but would be good to hear other guys opinions on the kerr, ogoggo, benn and cardle fights but imo they are all one sided beatdowns

    I hope Burns loses.

This three weight world champ nonsense is beyond a joke.

how can it be nonsense? if he wins he will be a three weight world champion :rofl:rofl

i agree that he has looked on the slide and tbh if he isn't back to his best he gets beat on saturday. i hope he wins but i think he might get edged out on points :good

Burns has lost 3 of his last 4 against decent opposition and should have lost the other but for the judges. It's a farce he's getting this shot.

It's even more of a farce Di Rocco is number one. He hasn't beaten anyone.

Burns is not even a top 10 LWW. It's sickening he has got this opportunity.

This is the definition of a paper belt.

i can't argue with any to that but if he wins then he will be a three weight world champion. Do i agree with it? no but it will be fact.

It's not something to be celebrated in my view, it makes a mockery of the sport.

I'm looking forward to the Nurse - Limond fight however. Fancy Limond to cause the slight upset, don't rate Nurse as highly as some. He's prone to getting caught too often when he drops his hands moving backwards.

I agree with your assessment on nurse and limond, nurse can switch off and be caught pretty easily. i just hope that willie has had his weight under control for this fight because he topped the bill in glasgow a couple of month back and he made me look like i was in shape :rofl:rofl:good

I wish Ricky and Willie all the best tonight but fear the worst, Ricky is never a light welter, he even says himself he does his weight far to easy and has gone back the way for a long time now, this title chance has simply been handed to him on a plate, willie to inactive and will struggle second half of the fight and lose on points

Burns wins on points, Limmond will have a tough fight against Nurse but I think he might just pull it off and win on points, be interesting to see how Scotty Cardle does though I really think he should be fighting Masher Dodd again there was no way that fight was a draw

Personally im sick to death of watching nurse and guys like him on bills similar to this. Just a revolving door of mediocre fights with that british weight class.

Never seen so many absolute bums packed into one card, the burns three weight world champion stuff is a testament to how boxing is ruined beyond repair.

So are we saying that Burns winning tonite is a set up and is not a legitimate World title ?

Can't see burns winning, Di Rocco will be way too big and powerful tonight after seeing them weigh in yesterday. Burns was at his weight, Di Rocco will put on almost a stone. Limond again I can't see winning, nurse will be to rangey for him, heard Willie is changing to southpaw for this fight which I'm not too sure is good idea. Hope I'm wrong as I like alimony a lot. Agree were Joe Hams fight is disappointing but think Charlie Flynn looked big and strong so think he will be too much for his opponent. Spoke to Jon Lewis ****inson and seems he took this fight at short notice so looking forward to this one as his Irish opponent looked really good. Hope ****inson wins but don't think he will
