I'm quite aware what this thread is about and I'm calling it like I see it. If you don't like it, too bad.

 

What the hell are you talking about? I never even mentioned Povetkin and hardly ever write about Wilder. Yet, you have the delusion to group me into your fantasy white hating world? Then now act like ugh ok whatever? ****ing muppets.

 

Personally, I believe that if you measure every group of fans by the worst of them, nobody comes out looking good. Yeah, I've seen fans who fit Doug's description, but I've also seen those same types of myopic fans in other fan bases being pandered to just as much. No sense painting everyone with the same brush.

Nothing in life panders to their supporters quite like boxing and politics.

The problem is that too many of the people who talk the loudest are the ones who leave the worst impression, which creates an illusion which over represents the amount of knuckleheads in any given fan base.

I've given Al plenty of guff on here because his deal is too self serving and it's going to hurt boxing in the long run, I'm not going repeat all of why, but hes no different than the other big promoters. Dirty businessman in a dirty business isn't exactly newsworthy.

but seriously, this is some FUNNY schit....ring magazine actually let this get published? the editor actually let this hit the stands??...damn! Even ring magazine don't give a schit anymore...ring was like "fcuk it!...i don't like them BLACK people, and i don't give a schit who know it!"

and hatin on al haymon? the guy who brought boxing back to network tv with some of the biggest match ups in years? yeah, it's true, HBO, GBP and showtime (somewhat less so) suck! they give us **** and wrap it up in a nice package and a smile and call it gold. haymon is way, way better than them.

and don't even front....ring magazine was one of the biggest cheerleaders for gerry ****ey back in the day...they hated tyson, and sweet pea, and rjj ...the whole ring editorial staff from nigel collins to steve farhood to jeff ryan was nothin but a buncha haters...thank god we don't have to read that ridiculous rag for boxing news anymore...we got dontae and arab and a whole lot better sources these days.
