Ring editor Doug Fischer blasts Haymon fans

My problem is it's not just him. He represents the growing mainstream boxing media that fans are growing accustomed to seeing, and are now perpetuating these ideals. It's getting to the point now where if we don't believe GGG and chocolotito are top 3 p4p, then we're crazy. These guys let their dislike of certain boxers influence their agenda spinning and it ends up spiraling across all walks of boxing to anyone who fits the description, be it fan or boxer even when undeserved. Same with society now. Objective opinions are not allowed.

 

I think Chocolatito is number one p4p. I also think Fischer's comments are off base. The two concepts aren't inclusive.

Those boxers have plenty of fans from other ethnic groups that are every bit as annoying their black supporters (they even have rational fans). “The demographic” is easy to spot. This entire thread was taken out of context. Doug Fischer wasn't talking about "AL HAYMON FANS" when he said "the demographic."

Doug Fischer was talking about black people who are racist against white people. It was a conversation that had nothing to do with Al Haymon.

He was writing about black boxing fans who think everything a black guy does is great and everything a white guy does is wrong.

You left ALL OF THAT out of your first post and FURTHER added to the damage by writing a SUBJECT LINE That had nothing to do with the topic they were discussing.

He clearly stated if you are a black boxing fan WHOSE BOXING OPINIONS ARE NOT RACIALLY BIASED OR RACIALLY MOTIVATED ... you aren't part of the demographic (of racists).

You obviously left out the first part of his post (FIVE PARAGRAPHS DISCUSSING RACISM) on purpose, because you selectively pulled something out of context and added a headline about Al Haymon that had nothing to do with the topic they were discussing.

I tend to believe that is one or few people that are paid to do this kind of propaganda on boxing forums.

Yeah the site owners / managers are definitely in on the trolling.

MVC is staff of some kind for sure.

The really racist ones are probably just trolls though. The site wouldn't risk damaging its reputation by openly being racism.

 

What Doug Fischer is missing is there are plenty of white guys who think everything white guys do is great. It cuts both ways and its naive of Fischer trying to limit the morality issue to just one ethnic group. Downright stupid!
