The problem is that people get their feelings hurt too easily if you criticize a fighter they like because they have a tendency to be racist and nationalistic.

For example, Isal is usually a rational poster unless it comes to a Mexican fighter, regardless of that fighter's race. He believes Mexican fighters are infallible. The same can be said for Pimp C who was perfectly reasonable back in the day except when it came to Mayweather. For whatever reason, he eats up whatever Mayweather is serving.

The thing is, Mayweather is a piece of ****.

There are a lot of idiots to on this site that bring up some guy that knocked Wilder down. Who cares? Wilder won the fight. Wilder is an exciting fighter. It's a shame what happened with the Povetkin fight, but at the end of the day, Povetkin had drugs in his system. He cheated. He's just as bad as Mayweather, that piece of ****.

People on this forum do not realize they are being manipulated by the media to hate one another. If people would search for the truth and do their best to stop reading from biased sites intended to influence their opinion for gain, then they would actually begin to find the truth.

10 years ago, guys like GGG and Wilder would actually be stars. Fights would also get made, so their stars could shine bright.

Where I am from the white/black distinction is not that important and other issues distinguish people (in most countries it is religion, ethnic groups in plurinational states, etc.). I understand though for black americans to be a little bit defensive on the race issue. Got to say, reading through this thread, the reality is the people Dougie spoke about was spot on. I was skeptical at first.

Do you think if Golovkin went around giving women a good hiding, they'd be alright with it like they are their heroes such as Mayweather & Broner doing it?

 

I mean their hero Mayweather was afraid of VADA testing and got caught with a needle in his arm. They go on a defending rampage. You can't get anymore red-handed than literally masking your PED use.

When it comes to Povetkin who has a reasonable excuse about using Melodronium and only getting caught for a very, very small amount. All while they were still investigating him. The "demographic" (Dougie is awesome for giving them a name) comes out in droves against him. All this while their hero, Mayweather, was legit caught with the needle in his arm.

 

I mention that all the time. That demographic is suddenly overly concerned with other guys doping or cheating, yet their hero is caught with the worst masking method known and suddenly they are blind to corruption. Disingenuous is putting it lightly.
