Who cares what "classic boxing skills" involved? The ability to fight on the outside with jabs and movement is an unarguably valuable set of boxing skills.
lmao you are even more insecure what i could imagine,i suspect that this forum is a big part of your life
No, it is just a place to discuss a sport that I am interested in, with people who can bring different perspectives to it.
I've deleted the drivel because it is merely your opinion and as such meaningless. So are you saying NO OTHER Heavyweight came close to Joe Louis in utilising any or every one of the skills listed above? Because if you are, then you're a bigger fool than I took you for. Fact. The ****** hit much harder and faster than Louis, especially from mid range. Plus he was also pretty good at slipping shots on the way in there. ( If you want to argue that the guys he did it against were junkies and tomato cans compared to the guys Louis fought, I'm sure there are plenty of Tyson freaks on here that would take issue with you on the matter. ) Fact. Ali had far better and quicker footwork, plus reflexes which allowed him to punch when off balance, that Louis or anyone he ever met in his life could only ever hope for. Fact. Foreman had more physical strength and power in his punches than any 2 people Louis ever fought. And that aside from his exceptional defensive move of simply pushing the other guy off balance and into his own punching range. Lewis and the K2 bros, were highly adept at parrying, moving in straight lines both backwards and forwards to control distance, feinting, and countering with blisteringly hard punches to any area you like, never mind vital ones.
Kevin and Foxy are equally lost. Boxing skills Are not size nor power or physical strength. No one is saying Ali was not the fastest of all hwt champions and faster than Louis. Being fast does not mean you have greater boxing skills. Tyson was a swarmer and did not possess the ability to side step and box the way Louis could. Louis by far and away the greater boxer. Most complete boxer ever to live in terms of hwt champion.
You and the other loser Janitor, have no idea what you are talking about. What you are trying to compare Joe Louis with is clones of Joe Louis. That is why your arguments are futile. Fact is other fighters were bigger, stronger, faster, hit harder, had better footwork etc etc than Louis. The further fact that they trained those natural attributes into skills seems to go completely over the heads of the pair of you. That is NO ONE else's problem but yours. Try looking up the definition of " skills " it might put your mind at rest. Though I doubt it.
Perry is one of the best posters here. I've learned the most from him, Janitor, Burt, and a few others.
Thank you Rez. It would be interesting if we had a private forum where the know nothings and baiters were not invited. I think it would be an uplifting experience.
