Now that he's dropped the belt?

I thought the only reason GGG wanted to fight Canelo was to unify, seems that was BS all along and Golovkin was actually hanging around waiting for a big payday against a smaller guy.

Funny how anytime someone mentions the name Lara as a potential opponent, the guy who deserved the nod over Alvarez, he is instantly dismissed and ridiculed by the same people foaming at the mouth for a Canelo match up :huh

Canelo not wanting to fight GGG at 160 is no different to GGG not wanting Ward at 168. The hypocrisy from the GGGroupies is truly shameful.

Couldn't you have asked this question in one of the ten million other GGG threads? Better yet, don't bother asking the question and just read the replies from the previous times this question has been asked.

Haven't seen the question asked. Admittedly I'm not on here much, and don't have the time or patience to go through ten milion GGG threads. A simple answer will suffice.

You forgot to mention GGG didn't fight at 161, didn't have the WBC belt at 168 and wasn't the ring champion at that weight. So why are you comparing Canelo-GGG to GGG-Ward?

And we don't care about Canelo, we just like making fun of a guy that said: "in Mexico we don't **** around", then a couple days later, give his belt to the real champion.

Even biased ass HBO scored the fight for Lara as did most on here. Canelo has never fought at 160 either.

    Try again.

Canelo has dropped the belt and will go back to 154, so why are GGG and his fans still so desperate to pick on a smaller guy? Doesn't look good.

Really, now that GGG has his belt it's only Canela fans that are talking about this fight. There is a poll on this, and I think people want Saunders.

Canela/GGG isn't competitive. Canela is a coward, and he showed it to the world.

Derevyanchenko/Golovkin will be the biggest fight at middleweight in a few years.

Lara is a boring runner .... at least Canelo comes to fight( well not this time ) and would not be running from GGG. I like shootouts such as Chavez vs Taylor , Barrera vs Morales , Bowe vs Holyfield etc. etc.

I don't really care as I'm getting bored out of my mind of boxing's politics. Canelo and GGG should fight, as they are the same weight on fight night, one of them being younger and capable of cutting a lot of weight.

But if Canelo gets back down to 154 and doesn't claim to be a middleweight champion, sure, he doesn't have to fight GGG. But I'll still be making fun of him for that turn around.

I imagine Golovkin wanted the Canelo fight, and still does want it, because Canelo is a big pay day and he is possibly the toughest challenger out there in the MW division for him. And, Canelo isn't smaller than Golovkin. Just because Canelo has never had to make 160 for a weigh in doesn't make him smaller. Fight night weights are a better indication of fighting size and Golovkin and Canelo weigh about the same come fight night.

As for Lara, if Golovkin can't get a Canelo fight then I would rather he fight BJS or Jacobs. However, a Lara fight would still be a viable and good fight.
