Will Germany's Braehmer make history???

Germany' reigning WBA light heavy weight champ Juergen Braehmer is the new coach of his unbeaten compatriot Tyron Zeuge.
Abovementioned Zeuge is scheduled to get his shot at De Carolis ' WBA super middle world title in july 2016.
Braehmer will probably become the first reigning world champ who is also the coach of another reigning world champ.

We are talking about the pro game,mate,where money is the name of the game.

Sure,Kovalev would probably beat Braehmer.At least I for one wouldnt bet a single coin on the German,but.......why should Braehmer fight Kovalev at all????
He makes good bucks fighting in front of his home crowd in sould out arenas in Germany.There is no need for him to cross the pond and showcase his skills on American soil.
He is a good and decent champ but we all know that he doesnt play in Kovalev's league.
However,the German has a decent chance to beat Kovalev's rival Stevenson IMO.

 

Well,first Zeuge has to beat De Carolis.No sure bet at all.
I for my part still have no clear idea how far Zeuge can go.
He is a naturally gifted fighter who has some pop in his fists but strangely lacks the necessary hunger and determination at times.I am not sure whether he is mentally tough enough to duke it out with capable and teak tough opponents.
I ve seen him live both at the amateurs and the pros and quite often on tv or youtube.Nevertheless,I am still not able to assess his abilities the way I usually do when watching a fighter.
The talent and the punch is there but his mental state is still a puzzle to me.He may be just a flash in the pan o la flor de un dia.

 

Funny thing is that if Zeuge catches the title he will probably square off against his stable mate A.Abraham.If he also wins that fight he will probaly share the ring with another stable mate of his,Feigenbrutz.He may even fight Sturm in his voluntary defence in between.
Damn it! Come to think of it he may even move up and fight his own coach:rofl

Pah! I very much doubt that Stevenson would destroy Braehmer.The German and Stevenson play in the same league IMO.
"That attitude is killing boxing" Are you joking,mate! The name of this game is money,to make as much money as you can in as short a time as possible.
Braehmer makes a lot of money.He wont leave an impressive legacy.Thats for sure.
Nevertheless,he is a draw in his home market.Therefore he is good for boxing because lesser known fighters get some job opportunities and can earn some bucks.
Some delusional fans out there are day-dreaming and want to see a successful champ who makes money take unnecessary risks.Yes,at times I day-dream,too.
However,this is the pro game we are talking about.
Does the name " Djelkir" ring a bell? No!
He is olympic silver medalist-he lost the final to Lomachenko.
He is a capable and dangerous boxer who would have captured a pro world title ,too,if........................well,if ...he had a different passport,a different ethnic background,a different promoter,a different home market,a different................... Djelkir is a french based Arab who won silver for France but couldnt get any meaningful fights in his pro career.Thats why he quitted the game and retired for good,undefeated with 15 victories.
Yes,Braehmer could have been a great champ by now if his promoter (and probably he himself) had taken bigger risks,but Braehmer has done a pretty good job so far as rule nr1 at the pros concerned:earn as much money as you can.
You have to face the truth: pro boxing is as much about boxing as it is about entertainment.You either have to be a very entertaining fighter,the right passport,the right ethnic background,a capable western promoter,speak English,German or Jpanese,or have constant luck beside you during your pro career.
The elite amateurs fight each other quite often-at the pro this happens very rarely.Thats the way it is.You have to accept it,mate!:hey

 

Braehmer? The same guy who knocked Hatton out at the amateurs,beat the **** out of Sturm and schooled Froch??
He was a great talent and could be a great champ by now at the pros ,too,if he hadnt wasted his precious time behind bars.

Anyway! He will probably make history all the same by coaching a world champ while still being active as a reigning world champ
