Certainly among the top two or three American sports figures of the 20th century,

and a man who stood up valiantly for his beliefs.

everyone with an ounce of common sense knew Ali was in bad condition that was worsening especially in recent years . Everyone who saw his public appearances was disturbed by how frail and faded he looked.

However saying the "end is near" is a poor choice of words and when your just on your home keyboard no where near the hospital is ignorance.
