He's not a 140 fighter, so what does he do? :huh

He's a journeyman now - he will lose to the first decent fighter he's put in with

He'll take a voluntary defence against a fellow Brit.

Robbie Davies Jr. is the WBA Continental Super Lightweight champion and, resultantly, is ranked within the WBA's top 15. That looks like the voluntary which could get made for Burns. :good

Surely even the Scots won't be stupid enough to believe that's a worthy fight?

Potentially. Do you think Crolla might be tempted to move up and become a two weight world champion?

That could happen. I think it hinges on the Crolla vs Flanagan fight happening -- and obviously Burns remaining champion at 140 for, say, the next 12-18 months.

If it happend I could see Crolla taking a points win: he's fresher, and has much more variety than Burns.

Probably not; but I imagine fresh-faced Eddie might try and sell that potential contest as a challenging fight for Burns.:lol::lol:

Burns' worst nightmare would be Provodnikov being made a mandatory for his title.

Provo Vs Burns? Save that massacre for next Valentine's Day.

Don't understand the hatred for Burns on here. He is a good bloke, fought numerous live opponents, been involved in wars. Yet the guys that hate on him praise Brook, Joshua etc.

Martinez,Moses,Mitchell,Crawford,Figueroa,Gonzales,Beltran, katsidis!! What a run of opponents for a paper champion

I don't understand it either, Burns doesn't mouth off or disrespect opponents, lives a clean life, just gets on with it and like you posted has faced a good run of opponents.

Burns would beat the **** out of every domestic fighter right now. It's not even debatable.

He's a three weight world champ having beaten only one decent fighter.

He's a prime example of why boxing ****s itself over.

You personally wouldn't class Mitchell or Katsidis as "decent" (to use your adjective)?
