Depends what you term decent. Mitchell was badly prepared and always found wanting on the world level and Katsidis was decent in his prime but was shot to **** when Ricky beat him.
Thats what haters do mate, they find something or someone to unleash the beast upon. Childish really. Grown men that dont know there own mind, this forum is full of em.
I have no love for Scots.i have never really rated Ricky burns.but I do have respect for him and anyone else who gets in the ring.i have predicted wrongly that he will lose on 3 occasions and am man enough to admit I was wrong.you however are a complete ****bag who has contributed to destroying a once great boxing forum.u and people like u have agendas, refuse to give credit and consider world belt holders as bums when it suits.you sit behind your computer screen judging people who would use you to hit your family with.you are a sad pathetic keyboard warrior.if you hate boxers and boxing that much stop watching, stop watching and go and do some knitting you ***got
Fight a few guys too earn some £ keep the belt. Didn't he get screwed over by old bug eyes? Hold the belt hostage and make some money... Hes a nice guy whos made the most of his ability Theres a few guys after the top 10 at 140 who would be easy enough to market. Would a rematch V Beltran generate any money? Talks of a Broner fight? I think he should wait for a couple of fights before he takes that one i just think Broner would over power him. Someone with a bit of name recognition but a bit past his best would be ideal for Ricky now.
Ricky is in a tough spot in this division, IMO. The veterans like Prov and Matthyse would give him fits. The new kids on the block like Postol would give him fits. The young kids like Gomez and Diaz would really trouble him. His title might allow for some easy voluntaries, but anything after 12 months of still being a belt holder and he's in trouble. Best of luck to him, and I'd still like to see him fight Broner someday!
What make's people think Crolla stops Burns exactly, is it because he's beat his last two opponent's by KO. Burns has fought way better opponent's, opponent's at a higher weight division and also has fought bigger punchers. He's never been stopped. Personally I think he would beat Crolla, he has a better jab and I think he would land quite a few of his own bodyshots on Crolla and slow him down, he is also better then any of Crolla's previous opponents. It would be competitive but I don't think he would lose to him.
I agree with you that it would be an interesting match up and one which I could easily see happening. Easy SLW defence for Burns and then drop back down to LW to face Crolla. Probably all depends on an unlikely Crolla vs Flanagan unification. I basically agree with your entire post but I wouldn't agree that Burns has fought "way better". Better yes but not way better. I'd see this as a "pick em". I do think Crolla is improving and does seem to be carrying some power at the mo. I don't think Burns is naturally much bigger than Crolla. Burns said in the lead up to the Di Rocco fight that the weight started to fall off him. Is it not always best to fight at the lowest weight you are comfortable at? I see Burns currently as a LW really but I'd be very happy to see him have a relatively easy defence at SLW.
