Haha he really does I was going to go to that Mathews fight but I was at Wembley for Liverpool in a cup semi final! Yesterday there was a river festival on a few hundred yards away from the arena too, I was thinking as we drove in they need to google upcoming events.

If it was the other way around and Fisheyes card was first it wouldn't have affect Matchroom's gate. They had the much better quality card and know how to promote properly.

I agree. I hate the way Hearn has the right to do what he wants and get away with it.

I also agree that the Bellew card would always attract more but had they not been so close together there would have been more there last night.

I remember not so long ago Bellew sold out the echo when he was with frank. I doubt he could do that now with Eddie even though he is a WC.

    Aye??

His fight with makabu did over 17,000 and the echo holds just over 9,000.

Nah it's a lot smaller although i like the echo because even in the nose bleeds you get a boss view.

Wasn't that the one where there were something like 900 people there?

Don't get why he doesn't use the Olympia tbh

Yea maybe a little more but certainly no more than say 1500-2000.

I can never understand why the aintree equestrian centre doesn't get used more.

Can hold about 4-5000 and you'd think it would cost less than the echo.

Everton Park is going next year. North end of the city getting shat all over as usual while the South gets looked after.

Aintree and Olympia are good especially the latter, loads of character.

I have been to a few cards of Frank's now and enjoyed them although they are rarely a sell out. I think his problem is he has stuck to old school promotion, basically believing that just because a fight is made it will sell. Whereas on the other hand you have Eddie Hearn who sells a lot more tickets for fights like Brook Bizier just because of how active he is, he is constantly promoting and his face is everywhere. Don't see how Boxnation and Queensberry will survive if they keep going the way they are.
