Dirrell ran like a ***got for the majority of the match, and no he didn't beat Froch, it should have been a draw. And yes Ward having Froch, Kessler and Abraham on his resume is more impressive than anything GGG has come close to accomplishing. If it makes you feel better Dirrel beat Stevens in a one sided fight as well, and he ran like a ***got in that match as well.
The fans were the real losers. I had Dirrell winning 7-5, but you can't fight like that and expect to win on the road. It was extremely poor situational awareness. He fought like he was in Grand Rapids, not in Froch's damn back yard.
I thought Dirrell beat him I'm sure I had it 8-4, not exactly sure but Froch was lucky that night and he knows it.
Yeah Direll got robbed, he was the only one to land significant punches. As I've said before, folks didn't like Direll's style so they straight up robbed him. He was robbed viciously, not a close fight. Really immature as well and self serving "I don't like his style so I'm going to take away his win". Froch had completely ineffective "ring generalship"
everyone with a soul knows lil froch took that L against andre...and i have alot of respect for froch
The frustrating thing is that Andre could've landed much more than he did. I was screaming at the TV because I knew holding back was going to kick him in the ass. You just can't win like that on the road. Promoters routinely rob visiting fighters like that all day in every country. His corner did him a tremendous disservice by not pressing him to put his foot on the gas.
here we go "andre could have won if he did more....andre could have won if he did more on the road...on the road you have to do more" no.....you fight, wherever it is, on the same plane....whoever wins more wins.....fighting at home should be an advantage to whomever fights at home...for the sake of familiarity...thats it.....whomever is at home and is the champion doesnt matter....thats not some challenge a challenger should have to overcome ..."oh ur on the road and the challenger?...u should have to win at least 8-4".....thats some bs.....LOL
Yeah, it is BS. It's also exactly how boxing works, why I was screaming at the TV, and why everyone could see it coming from a mile away. There's theory, and there's reality. What you just said is wonderful in a vaccuum or in an ethics book. Boxing fights aren't fought in vaccuums or in textbooks. I actually had Dirrell pegged as the dark horse to win and thought it'd be him, not Ward, that'd seize the opportunity at the tournament. I'd forgiven him for the Stevens debacle and thought he could've made a huge statement if he'd let his hands go against Froch more.
Yes, Dirrell beat Froch. Froch landed practically nothing for 12 rounds, whereas Dirrell was teeing off on Froch in spots.
Imagine dirrell vs Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev. Dirrell would need dr Shia again. No indCt he wouldn't need a DR
