I always find it dumb how people could box in a style that goes completely against engaging but find themselves surprised when they don't get a decision. Boxing is a televised sport, meaning it's about entertainment, which means the higher ups are going to support people that draw in fans unless you decisively defeat them. It's just how it is. Same goes for UFC
This fight reminds me of Canelo-Lara. Dirrell (like Lara) fought in a disgraceful manner. It was one of those fights where he was visibly scared to get hit and ran the entire fight. Touching Froch with some jabs and the occasional cross. The fight was very close, Dirrell probably should have gotten the nod (like Lara). However, in a sense you deserve to lose when you fight that way. There is no proper way to box, but the impression given off is that you are scared of the other man. Thus, causing the impression you are not pushing the action and making the fight a snoozer.
still leaps and bounds better than any win lil g has and really i think it speaks more as a testament to what an excellent fighter dirrell was at that time...he would have given any 168lber fits ....too bad his prime was stolen from him by an unlucky shot while he was down
:Oh so Dirrell was an excellent fighter, what was Dirrells best win before Froch? :think Curtis Stevens? Was Stevens an excellent fighter until then too?
So you just found out that they fought in 2009......... How old are youatschatsch Typical GGG fan.....Haven't been watching the sport for more than 20 minutes and think they know it all:rofl:rofl
