Iron and Glass chins in the UFC

What about Chuck Liddell? Didn't he have a glass jaw too?

 

I thought Boetsch had a good chin now I'm not sure that all that it's "cracked" up to be(pun intended) after Hendo laid him out in 30 seconds flat. It's definitely not glass at least not by MMA standards, but it's not iron.

Where's Mousasi btw? His chin is great, never seen him seriously hurt ever.

nice list. Chris Leben had a notorious iron chin when he was in his prime, and also Clay Guida had/has a solid chin.

 

Fujita had a crazy chin, as did prime Big Nog. Excellent chin and insane recuperative ability. That one Japanese guy who ate bomb, after bomb from Gary Goodridge in Pride, what was his name again? He had an insane chin, and I think he was just some pro-wrestling crossover or a really old judoka or something. Insane.

 

Big Nog def. had a chin on him, I remember him eating bombs from Fedor and nothing.

 

Don't be so quick to judge the guy . Anyone who Hendo cleanly detonates on is normally sent crumpling to the floor, wrecked.

 

It was the angle of the punch, along with him not expecting it to land. If you recall, Weidman landed harder flush, straight punches to the face, when Silva was giving him free shots. The punch that ended Silva's legend was a left hook landing across the jaw from the side.

A lot of those japanese guys in Pride were really tough. I remember Crocop fighting one of them and just unloading everything in the ****nal and the guy just wouldn't go. He nearly gassed out just from beating up on the dude.

 

Stephen Thompson reduced Hendricks jaw to average . A guy with an iron chin does not get KO'd in the first round .

 

Werdum and Rockhold need to be added to Glass, especially Werdum.
