For me, I get so annoyed when fighters keep saying things like.

"It is what it is" Like seriously, you could not think of anything else to say but that? andre ward has a habit of saying that line which is annoying as hell.

and also, at pre-fight face-off, every fighter keeps saying "i'm gonna knock you out" like charles martin said to anthony joshua and we all know how that turned out. ditto with dominic brazeale, he said he''ll do the same within 7 rounds. literally, does every boxer say i'm gonna knock you out? we all know that's not going to happen most of the time. it's all a front to look bad ass before the fight.

also, when fighters thank jesus/god at the end of their fights. seems like a such overused cliche.

    What about you?

thats basically a tired cliche in all of life

i hate the whole idea that to beat a champion...on his turf...you have to do more than just win more rounds than the other guy....like you have to win the round in some serious dominate/impressive fashion in order to do so

to me thats the most tired b.s thing ive ever heard.....you win a round by winning the round...u win the fight by winning more rounds

the idea that u have to do it in some grand fashion to beat a champ on his hometurf is absurd to me

"Stylistic nightmare" always bothered me. Seriously any given style can beat every type of fighter.

A classic example is Hearns' style was a "nightmare" for Duran when in fact it had just as much if not more to do with Hearns' physical advantages. Sorry that's not "style" that's height and reach. Refer to Paul Williams/ margarito if you think all taller fighters use their height as an advantage.

Another classic is mayweather Castillo. First fight was tight but refer to the second bout.

When asked an uncomfortable question, taking time to talk around it and not actually answering directly.

This is one of the reasons why I like Kovalev. The man is short, direct and bullsh*t free.
