Kovalev or GGG, Who deserves the Hype?

It's comical that at least 50% of the 40 who voted for GGG would make an argument that GGG is P4P top 2, and somehow Kovalev is outside the top 15.:huh These Goons have no shame:verysad

 

These two head to head is a toss up. Now imagine GGG at 175 and Kovalev at 160 and the fight wouldn't be competitive. Kova is awesome, but too chinny, unbalanced to hold up to GGG.GGG p4p #1

I agree, Fonfara or Alvarez are better opponents than Chilemba. I was just saying that Chilemba is a decent fighter. 11 is a fair ranking.

Can't really criticize Kovalev for this one, for all we know Fonfara and Alvarez might not have wanted the fight, especially as both are hoping for a shot at Stevenson, who is surely more beatable than Kovalev at this stage of his career.

 

Kovalev has the better resume indeed, but to me GGG looks better. I respect your opinion though, what about Kovalev makes you think he is more skilled than GGG?

 

Kovalev's resume is extraordinary. He's my #3 P4P after Rigo and Ward. Golovkin's resume is all right and I can see him being top 10 or even top 5 P4P material but his resume honestly doesn't back it up enough.
