"Carefully selected"? How so? Are you implying that those clips were unrepresentative or misleading? If so, which ones and why? Did you watch them? If you insist on questioning my integrity for no reason, like you did yesterday when you accused me of being a liar, I don't see any reason to continue my back and forth with you.
No, it's Mayweather's precision, timing, and boxing iq that make him the better technician. They enable him to beat legit opponents decisively while being "economical."
Obviously Whitaker does it The thing I don't get is this thing about Duran not being able to outbox Floyd. In general sense, if he puts enough pressure on Floyd, is aggressive enough to win round, while Floyd doesn't; wouldn't that have to be considered outboxing Floyd? Sure, he did stand there in the pocket like El Radar and see how can hit who most. If you impose your style on somebody else, you're outboxing them. It might not generally be viewed that way by most, but I just seems to me that it has to at least be partially if not mostly true. If we're talking strictly in a pure sense of ouboxing outboxing him, than the list obviously shortens. However, I would give Whitaker very good odds to do so. I think Forrest or Mosely could do the trick. I'd actually be more confident in Forrest. I'd pick a Prime DLH to beat Floyd, and to be honest, by 3 to 4 points if it was a really motivated DLH. SRL would outbox him. W.B. would be a toss up, but the edge going to W.B. imo. People might not like it, but I think Ken B. and Dejesus are tough fights for him. He may win, but it wouldn't be easy by any means. Point is, I think a number could, but obviously the vast majority ever wouldn't be able to
Lara was coming up and Paul was on the downslide. We all know that, why don't you? Quintana lasted less than 1 round in the rematch. Why didn't Floyd fight Paul, then?
Rays Leonard and Robinson, and Tommy Hearns all completely outbox Floyd at 147. He has never sniffed at any fighter at any weight anywhere in the same universe as those 3. Considering the problems Floyd had with Maidana, who's a crude, inferior reminder of Duran, I like Duran's chances at 135 and 147 as well. I like Pernell's chances too.
