A sequel would be the perfect way of celebrating the life of Ali

Which 2 current boxers would you consider worthy of headlining such an event?

    The criteria would:
A potential match to live up to the original
Status to attract the front pages
    Fighters to be role models

    Yep duly noted

The role model tag excludes a lot of the current crop

Not sure I could get behind this, regardless who's involved. Maybe it's a fault of mine, but I'd see it more as a cynical cash in, rather than a tribute.
The world has changed, no fight could have that kind of impact or social significance these days.

You mean a bit like Woodstock

The original should have stayed as one-off. The 2nd one was all about money and flopped

Why would the fighter's have to be role models? Neither Ali or Foreman were exactly saints back when they had their fight. Ali of that era was pretty much a straight up racist, and Foreman was kind of a bully. They became better men as they got older.

I see your point - Ali is a legend when you go through his life

But in the early 1970's the world's view of him was entirely different from today

How will we view Floyd, Pacquio or the Klitchko's in 30-40 years?
