Disney_master you are BONKERS!!!!:deal And no wonder you think Martinez is better, you're comparing him to Hernadez. Who the **** is that?:think
There is a lot of emotional opinions in boxing.....most of what people read when it comes to boxers is either over the top or well under the credited. The fact is no mater what the race or ethnicity of a top fighter there is a reason we are all talking about them and have such strong opinions. It's because those fighters who draw so much emotion and opinions are actually very good or even great fighters. They have the ability to make a permanent place in history as a world champion is they maximize their potential. That doesn't always happen, but guys like Floyd, PAC, Bhop, Whitaker, JCC and now guys like GGG, Crawfrd, Lomo and Spence will have a great shot at becoming legends in their own right. The critics and fan boys only solidify that we are debating the right athletes that have the most promise.
Lol....it's debatable kid. Hernandez best win was a controversial win over Azumah Nelson who was at the end of his career. He lost to DLH and Floyd. He beat a bunch of very good fighters but no one other than the 3 ATGs that I mentioned take him to the Hall of fame. His winning multiple world titles gets him to the Hall. Martinez most likely will make it to the hall of fame as well when his career is all said and done.
Nelson was at the end of his career and Hernandez won a very controversial SD. Martinez could have possibly beaten the version of Nelson Hernandez struggled with. You just don't know for sure. Father Time can do a lot to a once great fighter. Hernandez was also on his way out when Floyd beat him. So while it was a great win for Floyd it has to be said that Hernandez was not in his prime and retired after his loss to Mayweather
Martinez isn't very good at all. I don't see why you're making such an argument that he's better than G Hernandez when it's clear that Martinez probably isn't Even as good as C Hernandez.
To win a world title even today with the alphabet soup running 18 different champions in each weight class, you have to be good. Martinez is very good.....he's just not spectacular. Hernandez was very good....but he wasn't spectacular either. I'm not saying Matinez is great. He's not, but he has beaten top opposition throughout his career which is seemingly being minimized by some who have something against Lomo. Not every boxer is going to have the kind of x factor that can take them to greatness, but it doesn't mean they can't do great things by sacrificing in camp and training to elevate them beyond what most will ever achieve. You are trying to argue a moot point. Who is better, Hernandez or Martinez? They both were world champions who lost to better, more dynamic and more talented fighters. Period.
Look, you sound passionate so I can talk sensibly to you. Please don't go this route. I'm begging you. It's for your own good.
Anything is possible but Burns could have possibly beat an old Hernandez on the downside of his career. I wouldn't bet money on it but there have been bigger upsets.
Who cares? I'm studying and am guaranteed a great pay when I'm done You don't even pay bills even though you're supposed to be at work. You're a manchild of handouts.
I don't even know if Martinez beat a lineal world champion. That in itself is enough for me to "not" compare Martinez and Hernandez. Loma has a whole lot more fighting to do to compare his comp to Hernandez's comp.
