    I'm a GGG fan and I think Vanes is a top 5 LMW. And could easily translate into a top MW.

    He just don't get any breaks.

    No one shiits on Vanes that I know about

    Why because he's of EE descent? So what, there are plenty of EE MW's I'm not that fond of like Magomedov, Meryasev, Akavov. I'd rate Vanes ariound Rosado or Sergy Khomitsky level.


    The reality is the only reason why you rate Vanes is because he's at JMW, if he were at MW, you'd be doing threads talking about what a tin can he is because he lost to Andrade, Lara, and got dropped by and should have lost to a "bum" like Ouma. Not to mention looking thoroughly average against Gutierrez and Lozano. As far as Andrade goes, at least Vanes had the guts to stand in the pocket with Willie and go to war, he didn't constantly hold and run like Boo Boo did.

    Had Vanes been properly awarded the close rds vs Andrade and Lara, Canelo would be chasing Vanes, and Mayweather might have an L on his record. LMAO

    However, Vanes stands miles above Andrade and Lara #2 Ws.

    MOF....
    If Vanes had a better team, he'd have gotten Basangurov and been the rightful LINEAL LMW titlist going into the Lara fight.

    May have given him some pull in the judges eyes and things would look differently today.

    losing to guys like andrade and lara? theres no real shame in that...its not like gassing out against rubio because you thought you could blast him out and losing to joachime alcine.....lara is the top rated guy in his division...and andrade is close and prob will be one day.....when lara and andrade are done with they wont have 8 losses between them like alcine has...lol

    i dont even rate vanes THAT much...but hes better than some think....hes tough...hes good...youd be sucking his schlong if you needed his name to rate the horrible 160 division....you know that...i know that.....

    I didn't agree with Dougie's article, but people on here really need to lay off using that word so much. I have never seen a word get so ridiculously overused in such a small space of time. It's like when a kid discovers a new word and try's to get it into every sentence they speak or write.

    Vanes is better than guys like Rosado and Khomitsky, he's a level above them IMO. So Rosado, Khomitsky would be C class guys, Vanes is B class.
