He is not privy to this information.
No boxers dispute the number of fights he had, incidentally.
I don't know for sure if he has had 397 amateur fights. I would have thought he'd have something more in the region of 250.
The reason why I say this is because from 2006 onwards, he's had around 90 fights (from 2006). EDIT: Albeit, they were at tournaments ONLY.
Amateurs from EE tend to have many fights when they're young (a higher proportion of ams in the youth than in their older years as amateurs), so it's not ultimately possible to know. It is different to in England, where the minimum age for sparring and matches is 11 according to ABAE.
There's footage of Lomachenko in boxing matches at a VERY young age.
I just take their word for it, because they do not seem like dishonest people and I've heard many other resumes from boxers with a high number of fights.

He knows for sure that he's only lost one fight, regardless. That's the only recorded loss. Anything else doesn't stand on any ground.

Nobody cares who the best amateur is because there is no best. It comes down to opinion not stats. Stats don't tell you who the best ever is in the pros either.

People think Lomachenko will just dominate Salido. That is likely, but Salido is a warrior and a smart fighter with a tough style. Although I think Loma wins, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people hop off the Lomachenko train for a while because they'd see Salido having some success against Loma.

I think he's overrated a bit.. he got whooped twice infamously in the ams.. the one avenged and all that.. and the one reversed against the Brazilian..

Any fighter who is called 'the best ever' after just 7 pro fights is overrated IMO until the fighter has proven it against all styles. Loma is certainly TBE amateur, and LOOKS TBE quality/material, but he must prove it.

He was beat by Selimov but avenged it twice over.
Loma scored a knockdown (or two) in the Conceciao fight but it wasn't awarded, also there were a lot of good scoring shots that weren't awarded to Loma, and Conceciao was being too dirty. With all that said, I consider that a good win for Loma. Conceciao is a top fighter.
