Both men would shave years off one another's lives. Mercer will eat leather, lots of it. Tua will be meeting a tank in Ray. This will turn out like Ike/Tua (speaking of which, Ike/Mercer would have been vicious as well). This would be one of those fights where you see the brutal, very brutal side of unarmed, hand to hand combat. Neither will back down, both love to slug it out, both have massive power AND the ability to take a punch. This would NOT be pretty. Wincing moments a aplenty, for sure. It'd be like watching a horror movie as a small kid!
Mercer because Tua is garbage. The one thing he does have going for him, namely power, wont be working here. Mercer was the better schooled fighter.
WAR (hopefully) Two hard punching, great chinned, sometimes lazy and overweight guys. I think Tua was faster and a bit better defensively, and, if in shape would outwork Ray for a decision.

Mercer honed his skills throughout his career and became a rather decent technician, which is often overlooked. He was able to box with Holyfield and push him close, and gave Lewis the hardest fight of his career. He should win this.
funny because at june of 2016 still you did not realise that your opinion about tua is ignored by anyone, your hatred for tua is legendary and you got mad like hell because he is matching with tyson in h2h fantasy fights,( and actually it is not an easy fight and you got mad like hell, you can´t deal with it).
Tua is matching Tyson in h2h fights? Why don't you start a 'prime' Tua vs Lewis thread, see if that gets more responses than say prime Tyson vs Lewis. Tua couldn't carry Tysons spitbucket.
Hell of a match-up...nice job! Impossible to call, but I guess I lean towards MR. Mercer who I see as a bit more skilled.
