Question is; how on earth can you rank Chris Arreola, who doesn't have a single official win in freaking 15 months at #9? Same had happened with Ortiz vs Thompson, and WBA refused to sanction that bout as a belt fight, and that was a pointless interim belt. WBC is too corrupt to be true. They are a cancer of this sport.
That top #15 list is terrible. Stiverne still at #2, he got dropped and was gifted a decision vs Derrick Rossy.
Canelo is also nowhere to be found at 160 or 154. Maybe there is a caneloweight list I couldn't find ?
This was predicted when the first rumors of the Arreola fight came to light. Magically appearing in the rankings without any reason, without fighting for it, only to give Wilder the easy fight he wants.
Maybe you're not comprehending this scenerio. Arreola wasn't ranked even in the top 25 shortly ago, or top 40, but instead I believe either 43 or 45. Then, as soon as Beyonce picks him. Magic! He's ranked #9! It's magic I tell ya, magic!
All you have to do is fight the WBC champ and you'll be parachuted into the rankings at #15 at least. Arreola has some name recognition and he's happy to pay their sanctioning fees, so he'll stay in their rankings for the foreseeable future.
