Who has superior ability jersey Joe Walcott or Chris Byrd

Well i've read Walcott didn't train with weights. Some people are lucky enough to have good genetics and can be reasonably muscular and defined without ever having had to do much to get it.

 

If Walcott had correctly been given the decision over Joe Louis in the first fights ( the crowd and most of the sports reporters felt he won ) where would his legacy be?

 

No it is not the "same".

Generally when an athlete weight lifts in a gym it's a programmed exercise schedule. So perhaps curling, squats, leg extensions......etc. This takes time and takes away time from other important aspects of the SPORT of boxing such as endurance and skill building.

Fighters who do not lift and instead "lift cows" to use your language do so as a very small portion of an overall aerobic AND skill enhancing workout.

 

Walcott much more superior and in era of some very technical fighters and deeply advanced era. Byrd beat Tua who was beatable,drew? with Golota who was beatable,Oquendo fights ? Walcott in 2 competitive fights with Louis dropped Joe 3X,Had Marciano on the floor and KO'd Charles....Walcott a more dangerous, tricky fighter although erratic at times still top 10-20 fighter at Heavyweight

 

What a complete bunch of garbage lol walcott a top10 hw . This guy pick walcott and Charles to beat foreman es it does not surprises me from him. Tons of modern hws would put marciano down, m marciano was not a hw and he is overrated,a top 10-20 hw is not losing vs the bum Abe Simón by ko or having tons of defeats

One thing is sure,byrd did not have 18 defeats with 6kos many of them against absolute nobodies.(wait for the excuses of these defeats of the nostalgic mafia)

 

Sad Byrd still doesn't look as good as Walcott.

Byrd had better chin but Walcott had more power and just as much skill. Byrd is underrated but Walcott is better

 

Byrd was clearly faster being 25 pounds heavier(190vs215) and harder to hit cleanly

 

Jersery Joe Walcott had superior ability. Walcott was faster and harder to hit anyone who sees otherwise is greatly overrating Byrd.
