Golovkin turned pro at 24, Canelo turned pro 9 or 10 years younger.

Aren't you one of GGG'S biggest fan that makes alot of threads of him??

Cotto and Canelo won a MW belt and that makes them MW's. You cry because GGG said he would fight anyone from 154-168 but didn't move up above 160lbs. Yet you ignore the fact that Cotto and Canelo did move up and held belts at MW. It's like GGG getting a SMW belt at 161lbs and then parading around that belt but refusing to fight the best boxer of that division. To top it off refusing to fight at the full weight and saying he is not a SMW. Seems to me you will be alright with that and giving Ward hell for picking on a guy who is not a SMW, yet still holds it, and will be calling Ward to move up to fight Kovalev.

Golovkin had a very nice amateur career to refine his skill and get much experience before turning pro.

Canelo had a few fights as a kid but acquired his most of his boxing experience fighting men when he was a kid.

GGG has had about 400 fights counting amateur and pro
Canelo has had less than 100

    Food for thought

Canelo will be ok. He probably won't be boxings next big star due to his height limiting him, but I expect Canelo to continue putting in good work. If he beats a Charlo or Andrade it will slow down the heat he's getting. Canelo is still a good fighter that entertains.

Very poorly worded thread title, it should be....

"Canelo is bringing shame to the great Mexican fighters of the past."

By putting them to shame, it sounds you're implying Canelo is showing them up.

I know, but the guy was talking about who Golovkin fought at 25, at 25 Golovkin was an amateur, so you can expect him to face the opposition of Canelo who is pro since his teenage years.

That's hard to believe as both the Mexicans & the Irish are regarded as FIGHTERS!! not Prima Donnas. Canelo is a prima donna

He could have turned pro earlier or fast tracked his career like Loma but he didn't have the guts then and doesn't have the guts now.

    The age comparison is valid

Loma it's the best amateur of his generation, also signed by a more famous promoter at his debut (top rank), also, no fighter in history has done what Loma does in boxing, no one, including Golovkin of course, but Lomachenko is a special case.

Well it seems that Mexican fans will overlook and turn the other way when their fighters use PEDs or cheat (Vargas, Morales, JMM, Margarito, etc) and pretend their fighters are clean.

Canela is shameful because she talks big but her actions show nothing but cowardice against true competition.

I've run through this scenario with him before. It's when I realised he had no intention of objectively having any type of discussion. He'll avoid this entirely. It's too difficult a proposition for him to deflect so he'll evade.
