Mexican legend Chavez Sr rated him his number 1 at this moment in time. I don't agree but it's still a great compliment from Chavez Sr.

Nearly every pro that's sparred with him says he is technically excellent and hits like a heavyweight, even those who haven't sparred him rate him very highly.

But people on here who have probably never boxed or even sparred a single round dismiss him as a hype job.

So in answer to your question, inside boxing he has respect, in forums like these with people who haven't really got a clue what they are watching he won't be given any.

But in all honesty if you were Golovkin who's respect would you rather have :think
