Reasons Wlad "didn't let his hands go" first time against Fury ??

I keep hearing that Wlad will let his hands go this time and KO Fury.
So why didn't he do that the first time ?

The only reasons I can think of are :

    1. He was old and no longer capable of pulling the trigger.
    2. Fury wasn't giving him the angles.
    3. He's been a cautious hesistant boxer for YEARS, and is constantly afraid of throwing many punches and get countered and KO'd.

I can't see how he can change 1 and 2.
    1. He's getting OLDER every day.
    2. Fury won't be giving him the angles.

So I can only see 3. as something he can remedy.
He could just go full ret.ard kamikaze and charge into Fury swinging and shooting like a wildman.
    At 40 years old.
    And probably get KO'd.

Is there something else I'm missing ?

i don't think you are missing much,

Wladdy does not like taking chances, we all know that, i think he underestimated Fury as did many including myself.

You got it all:good. It's ridiculous for anyone to believe he just "Chose" not to let his hands go. It's just gonna be a repeat of the first fight, and if anything Wlad is the one that's gonna get KO'd.

Wladimir is going to beat the **** out of Fury and khtfo in 4 or 5 rounds. his hands will go and Fury is the one that is going to make the mistake and go to sleep.

I just don't see any reason for it to go any different from the first fight. It's not as if Wlad is gonna learn a new trick at 40. Fury's style and size is just all wrong for Klitschko

Wlad's going to have to work on his footwork and start to use his jab as an offensive weapon instead of a set-up tool. He has to simply close off Fury and land the jab, even if said jab doesn't do much damage. If he can draw Tyson into a firefight by out jabbing him he can win. If they exchange Wladimir has the big cannons to knock the hedgehog outta Fury.

Also, and I say this because Fury doesn't have a huge punch to punish him with, Wlad may consider dropping the occasional hard shot to the body. He's got to mix it up and keep Tyson guessing, and try to cut down his mobility. Fury looks like he might be soft to the body, and if the fight goes long it will pay off big time in the championship rounds.

As far as i saw it was option 3 that cost him the fight against Fury 1st time round. It wasnt age and if had just been about Fury,s angles then caution would of been thrown to the wind at some point as Vlads corner all knew he was losing the fight. But it wasnt apart from the 12th and that was only a half ****d attempt to try rescue a result.

And if this deep engrained fear of taking shots was the issue in the 1st fight i dont really see how it can all be overcome in 1 training camp. He may of had some mental tuitition this time, hypnosis even, but it wont work. All it will do is make him believe he has prepared but once he is in the ring taking real shots against Fury he will revert back to the same fear.

your right. the jab is going to play a dominant role in the rematch. also as you said, Fury does not have a huge punch. this is going to be a jab fest and I am thinking a left hook is going to close it out.

Scared to get knocked out. If wlad let his hands go he most likely would have been stopped. People saying fury cant punch. A man that big hitting you with a counterpunch is got to hurt bearing in mind wlads chins not quite his brothers.

Cant see past fury in the rematch. One thing about fury is hes versatile. Wlad a bit too robotic to change anything up to much. Options are limited anyway with having the shorter reach.

If he lets his hands go fury has the better stamina and probably more fight in him.

If he tries to out box him fury has the longer reach better movement at this stage.

Wlad will gas if he turns it into a fight. Barring a knockout punch but wlads shown time and time again hes too careful for that. He ll fight exactly the same way he did the first time.

The only problem i see is no ones any idea how furys gonna come in this time round. People going on about what wlad will need to change but for me the winner will be decided on what change their is in fury this time round.

We dont really know how consistant he is. Plus although he plays mind games a lot of the time i genuinely believe hes as up and down mentally as he says he is. One day he believes hes the best heavyweight that ever lived in his mind the next hes the worst.

Thought the mindgames were just the gypsys been shrewd but i really think thats how tyson is. There is mindgames at play with him but how erratic he is is outwith his control.

There's really nothing Wlad can do other than try turn it into a dog fight. If he gasses, so be it. Fury's reach and mobility is clearly causing him all kinds of problems. Wlad needs to find a way to let his power decide the match, he is a technically better and more powerful puncher than Fury.

Sometimes I wonder if Corrie Sanders didn't permanently mess Wlad's mindset up. Actually Wlad could take a few lessons from Sanders here. Corrie had the attitude of "you win some, you lose some" and as a result wasn't shy to let his hands go. Wlad needs to approach the fight with the attitude of "so long as I have done my best, it doesn't matter if I win or lose".

All this he is old and unable to pull the trigger stuff is wishful thinking from AJ fans who know Wlad would KO him
