Will the Blackwell episode affect Eubanks Junior next time out.

Senior was never the same after Watson 2, and Benn never the same after GMan. Be interesting to see if there are psychological after effects for jnr.

 

I think Jnr actually likes fighting which is to a certain extent unlike Snr who just used boxing strictly as a way to make a living and boost his profile.m which is far enough.

For that reason I think the Blackwell thing will not affect Jnr In the slightest.

There's spite in Eubank Jr, he loves to fight & likes being in the trenches. No effect whatsoever

 

If eubanks thought he was any good then why doesn't he take the rematch offered to him to fight Billy Joe.

$1 mill to CEJ flat and BJS keeps the rest $2-$4 mill

CEJ was too proud to accept such an offer as he thinks he is the bigger draw which is probably fair

 

Fair enough ...that's his peroration to refuse, but 20% to the challenger is about normal these days.

I've long thought the splits in title fights were all wrong. Some of the ridiculous offers made are nothing short of insulting. 65/35 seems fair to me in this case. BJS holds the W and the title.

 

Me too. But without a central governing body dictating a fixed "minimum wage" for challengers, challengers won't get what they deserve, they will continue to get what they can negotiate, so to speak. Let's face it ....the champ holds most of the cards. So 80:20 will continue to be the norm.
