GGG is a great fighter but to become an all time great u need great names on your resume and he ain't got none. not entirely his fault but if he ever wants to be considered a true great he is going to have to move division and fight some huge names.

I agree, he´s not an ATG yet. But IMO one of the best MW of history. He will get the ATG status eventually.

Abel Sanchez once had Sergey Kovalev as well and managed to run him off.

Naazim Richardson: Golovkin is a problem for everybody. Some of the s-h-i-t GGG is doing is superhuman!!!

Bob Arum: Canelo is very good fighter but I believe Golovkin is something special.

Depends how much respect we're talking about here. To me Golovkin's looks like very good/great middleweight. The problem is there aren't many/any really good and willing middleweight out there for him to prove it against. It would help if Golovkin moved up and tested himself at 168. Win, lose or draw, he would get more respect.

he is arguably number one in his division, which is pretty respectable. the only arguments against him is the lineal one and a weak resume/one lacking an elite and only 2 or 3 world class.

Golovkin is respected fighter, but one problem might be the attention that he gets. That makes some people very jealous and therefore they feel entitled to hate and downgrade his achievements. For example Jones jr. feels Golovkin gets more praise and attention than american fighter, especially black fighters and feels its unfair. Everyone can have their own opinions, but IMO Golovkin has changed his style to more fan friendly and therefore he has merit all the attention that he gets at the moment.

One thing is for sure, the criticism that his record gets from some critics will eventually decrease substantially when his former victims prove their abilities in a long run. I´m very positive that at least three of his last opponents will have a belt one day.

1.) Monroe Jr. - I said this from beginning, he is a quality operator and his last two fights are just a start of his journey to a-level fighter. He has a very negative and awkward style that wont allow him to cross over as big star, but he will beat some good names in the future. I would give him great chance to beat Andrade and Charlo brothers at 154-160 at the moment. All of those names are praised at the moment based on their unbeaten records and eye test. How does the criticism chance if the praised (and oversized) 154 pounder wont make it at 160? I would also expect him to take couple of wins against Jacobs, Saunders, Lemieux, Eubank Jr. and Stevens. That said, he would probably loose some. It´s very possible, he will be a champion 2019-2025 at mw.

2.) Lemieux - DL is also a fighter that I expect to raise his game. He has one attribute that makes him a potential champion and that is power. His power is something extraordinary and if he improves his overall skill level, he will win a title after Golovkin has moved up. He has a chance against anyone, current 154 or 160 and he could be champion two or three years from now and potentially have decent run at 160 (2019-2023). Of course he has some flaws and him being a champion means that he has to avoid Dirrell-type of fighter at 160.

3.) Stevens - a black horse. His career or his business hasn´t been managed perfect way, far from that. Hence, he has moved down on weight his whole career and lost some fight in the process. That´s a pity because he is judged by those defeats at 168-175. In reality, he is pretty small even at middleweight. The reason why I have confidence in him is because, he has already overcome so many obstacles and he is still improving. He made a good choice picking his current trainer (on the contrary to Rosado, who made career defining mistake by choosing Vargas) and he has looked good in his last fights.

In addition, I expect Brook to win a belt at 154.
