Its not that I don't care, its that I don't like faux outrage over thugs being stopped by the police and the overly sensitive prosecution complex that the black community has that takes away alll sympathy If they had more discernment towards what they protested about like for instance protesting only on serious tragic cases like the situation with he child then I would have sympathy. But when they go out in large numbers protesting and causing unrest in towns, because some thug got killed after committing a crime, then I can't take it seriously. It would be like germany rioting and saying their human rights were compromised because America took out Hitler. Who cares if a low life criminal got abused or killed by the police, I support that kind of brutality, one less menace on the streets.
:nonoIts was a mutual thing. Kinda like Dirrell and Ward in the Super Six.:smooch Ward sucks up to Bhop and the old man thinks he is some father figure and wizard coach or some shzit.atsch
You can only try to intellectualize it. And that's why it doesn't resonate with you. It's heard but, obviously not felt. It's a finger wagging excercise, without consideration of or interest in the root cause. And that's your perogative. But, all that thinking does is continue to perputuate a system of white supremacy, when a system of justice is what is actually needed. I am not talking "Russian justice" either. If you believed in true justice, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation. I think criminals should be punished. But, police who commit cold blooded murder should be punished as well...and not assigned desk jobs. Any "persecution complex" the black community has is warranted, from hundreds of years of mistreatment and second class citizenship, here in the "land of the free." The police should be punished if they are found guilty of un******td brutality. But criminals are criminals and deserve no sympathy especially hardened criminals who want to play at being gangstas. All this ''white supremacy'' bs is just that bs. Stop trying to control things whicha re impossible to control. There will always be those who hold racist views, you do not have a right not to be offended. You do not have a right to commit crimes unchallenged and be treated with kid gloves when a officer's life is in danger and has a split second to make a decision, on whether to save his own life or a thugs life. I'm intellectualling it because that is the way out, rather than thinking through emotion, which is what the black community is use to, instead of using their brain and looking at themselves for once and taking responsibility they rather act through emotion such as anger, hate and jealously. No other race has such a big issue with the police because they do not play the victim when they are the aggressor. There wouldn't be any need for the police if people took responsiblity for their own actions and behaved appropriately. Black people need to assess their self image and stop criminising and victimising themselves and looking at the world through that filter, because it's only hurting themselves in the long run. Get over skin colour and proceed. I don't see that many asians with such big chips on their shoulders and they suffer just as much percieved racism but they still manage to do what they want with their lives and achieve success without being held back by the big bad white man
How would they be found guilty when the jury is stacked in their favor? Criminals are criminals when they commit a crime. Not for looking a certain way or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. You are obviously too blinded by your contempt for "thugs" to understand this. You are intellectualizing because you can't relate. It's as simple as that. And because you can't relate you are in no position to tell black people what they need to do. You are just pontificating about subjects you can't possibly comprehend or provide viable solutions to. No need to waste your time or any more of mine. What you are suggesting provides value only in your own delusional mind. Asians have not had the same experience in this country over a near 500 year span. I don't think you have an understanding of history. I am not surprised by that. But, it's not a question of who had or has it worse, it's a question of what is the common denominator....a system based on maintaining white supremacy, which needs to be dismantled. Thinking like yours is the product of such social engineering, which will unfortunately be passed on to the generations that follow you. But...I've spent enough time discussing this with you. We should agree to disagree and move on. You probably have some new Andre Ward hate threads to create anyway. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
You're right I can't relate because I will not be putting myself in a position where there is a chance of police brutality. I will not be smoking drugs from my apartment, while looking out my window shouting ''**** the police'' Neither will I be driving around without a licence only to drive away when asked to pull over. I will not be robbing a gocery store with a firearm, and then when confronted by the police , resist arrest and then expect a whole community to mourn and protest over my death. Neither will I be aiming a gun at a police officer and expect him to do nothing So no I can't relate to thugs, because I am not one, I can only present a common sense solution as to not get involved in those criminal situations to become a ''victim'' of police brutality I'm sorry if that is too intellectual for you to digest, but for me it's basic fundemental entry level common sense, that every child should know. Unfortunately the black community want to be babied by the state and insist they tolerate their anti social teething issues as they slowly learn how to integrete in learning how to behave like a civilised individual who is responsible for their own actions.
Slavery, Jim Crowe, etc. Was a historical injustice that the country is trying to make up for. We're trying to overcome that. Not forget about it, but overcome that. We have things like black history month, minority scholarships, public housing, affirmative action etc. We've literally legislated things to try and make up for slavery. Continuing to play the victim card will only prolong the victimization mindset and the racial divide. Were trying the best to move on, but victimization culture only divides and fires up the ignorant and lazy. And as I'm sure you know blacks weren't the only people enslaved in history. Anybody group that's been conquered deals with it. That's how it's been.
The country is not trying to make up for anything. Else reparations would've been paid out long ago. This country is still benefiting from the untold wealth that hundreds of years of free labor and chattel slavery provided. A month to gloss over Black history, token legislation like affirmative action (which every other minority group benefits from more than black people, whom it was meant to help, and privileged whites whine about constantly as reverse discrimination), minority scholarships (again...which benefits every other minority more than black people), public housing that are like concentration camps (and are being gentrified in a every major city in the US) does not "make up for" anything. You cannot encapsulate the history of a people into one month. And then only teach about a few accomplishments. It used to be one WEEK, until there was protest. There is tons of untold black history pre and post slavery that would turn world perceptions upside down if it were common knowledge. And that's exactly why it is NOT told. Even the acknowledgement of the African Holocaust and Slavery is being taken out of textbooks completely. So, we are indeed trying to forget. You cannot "play" the victim card when you are legitamately being victimized. I can always tell when I am talking to someone who only understands history and politics from the oppressor's point of view. You could see 1000 innocent black people lined up and shot tomorrow on the news...and you'd probably say they were "thugs" who deserved it. And for the record, there is no slavery or holocaust experience in recorded history that compares to the attrocity of the African Holocaust and chattel slavery of untold millions to build this empire we call the USA. This country and the Americas as a whole has so much blood on its hands it will never be able to wash it off. There's really no point in continuing this conversation with individuals who can only understand the world from the oppressor's point of view. It's not important that you understand these things. It's important that others do, who are actually affected by it or are seeking truth. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
GTFOH Indians were oppressed by the Brits, took their wealth, turned them in to a third world cesspool at a faster pace due to colonization, yet the Indians who were taken as indentured servants succeeded, and now have higher IQ scores and academic scores than their white counterparts, they are now part of the elite in Britain. Jews have been oppressed for thousands of years, yet they are now part of the elite world wide. The Chinese diaspora and the South east Asian Diaspora is considered the wealthiest, most influential groups of people on Earth, despite coming from poor backgrounds. What is the Black excuse?
Great. Here goes another one? [emoji57] They were oppressed, but, have their own countries, land, financial institutions, judicial systems, academic institutions, languages, culture, history etc. Yes, when they were no longer occupied by their oppressors they were allowed to operate independently. None of these people had their histories completely wiped away, so they can't even trace back where they originally came from, had their familes sold away, had their mothers (and fathers) r@ped and bred like cattle. They were not completely "owned" with no right to read, to learn, to build, to raise families, to speak their original languages, to bear their own names, to own land, earn wages, to be a citizen, to be or do anything except build someone else's country for hundreds of years. And they weren't finally given "freedom" only to be met with laws that restricted them in every way possible, allowed them to be taken advantage of, kept them poor, underprivileged, and undereducated, excluded from the judicial process, publicly lynched and murdered (adults and children...sometimes entire families) at the whim of other people, who were not charged for these crimes (sounds a lot like today with many of these racially motivated killings by police), etc. The rights that East Indians, Asians, "Jews", white women, and other people deemed minorities enjoy in this country, is largely due to the struggles and protests led by Black people to not be treated like second class citizens or someone's property. When immigrants (Indians, "Jews", Asians, etc) come here, many are given financial incentives to start businesses. While there have been unspoken policies in place by financial institutions for years to discourage Blacks from doing the same, by denying loans etc. Also, redlining has been yet another strategy to keep Blacks from crossing the tracks, so to speak. Some of these groups were even given reparations, while Blacks got "affirmative action", which other minorities (including white women) gain more from than whom it was originally intended for...and whining white males with a sense of entitlement to everything call "reverse discrimination" when they don't get that job or scholarship. So, ask me what is the "Black excuse" again? It's not even about excuses, really. Never has been. If you didn't have the mindset of the oppressor and sought truth, these things would be easily understood. But, you are another who would prefer to remain ignorant, obviously. Sadly, there are too many like you. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Sadly it is this type of mindset that will prevent Africans from becoming prosperous world wide, it is the perpetual cycle of lack of self confidence.
