Canelo vs Smith is finalized for 9/17.

That's cool. You don't have to care. The major difference is Golovkin fights 3 times a year and almost always on HBO. Canelo fights 2 and from now on is going to be strictly on PPV. You can afford to fight guys like Monroe and Wade when you're fighting more times than most major champions.

like i said...lil g defends his belt against the likes of rosado(of 0 wins at 160) and guys like wade and monroe

The Monroe and Wade fights are either stay busy fights or mandatories. And the point is if you fight less your competition should generally be better.

 

so ....you can fight more and never have a real step up in competition and thats ok....or you can fight less against bigger names and better caliber fighters but thats not ok if you take a step back for a minute?

so basically fighting bums over and over is ok as long as you stay active and keep slaying those c/b- level fighters?

 

Not what I was saying. Take last year for Golovkin last year he fought Monroe who is a c level fighter. But he also fought Murray and Lemieux who are B level fighters. Meanwhile this year Canelo has fought Amir Khan who is a b+ fighter and Liam smith who is a c level fighter. see the difference.

 

yeah i also know that canelo has been in the ring with two A fighters....and a few other solid b/b+ fighters....and hes what? 25 years old? not 34? ....see the difference?

Not arguing who has faced tougher opponents in the past. I'm just saying if you fight 2 times a year and only on PPV they should be major fights, not throwaways.

these guys are still trying to justify lil fighting b level and below all the time because its "active"...and now canelo is at fault because hes not fighting an a/b+ guy every time out....its unreal....its some bizzaro world....it cant be real life...

one guy is 25...the other guy is 34 and he gets a pass...gee i wonder why?
