I like Spence but come on, Algeria is so fing overrated. His claim to fame was beating Provo.

    What about 116-112 Porter?

You can't score a fight, like you can't confess you were wrong.

That fight was great. I couldn't even score round because I was just in awe. Still, it looked like Thurman was landing the harder shots more frequently. Porter was looking great though. I really would have loved to see him find a home for that left hook to the body, as it looks like he may have found something there. Regardless, I think that Thurman did a great job finding the spots and putting some seriously hard leather on Porter.

I'm going to say it now, keep these guys the hell away from one another. They'll ruin each other. They have styles that will put excessive mileage on each one, but Porter will get the worst of it. He did really well, but he took some hellacious shots tonight.

They can both go off to have great careers, Porter's manager needs to steer him away from a rematch.

Porter faster than Spence.... No way. If Porter hadn't smothered his punches when he got Keith hurt he would have got him outta there. And Thurman's ring IQ is vastly overrated. He got pushed to the ropes far to easily in this fight at times.

Depending on your interpretation of the scoring criteria:

Anything from 116-112 to 114-114 for either boxer could be reasonable...!!!

Most rounds were close, and Farhood did said all 3 judges arrived at the score with different rounds for Thurman, so technically at least one (maybe 2) judges gave certain rounds to Porter...!!!

Great fight, very close rounds that could have gone either way...!!!

I don't see it personally. But I would have to think very carefully before getting in an argument with CST.

Nice post man. I agree with you on the notion that they probably won't have an immediate rematch. But due to the fact it was a highly entertaining and competitive fight, they should probably meet sometime down the road.

But if they end up fighting an immediate rematch, it would probably take a year or 2 off of their careers. Best fight of the year so far for me.

I don't see any possible scenario to think 116-112 Porter is reasonable.

Definitely. I picked Porter by decision, I wanted Thurman to win though. In the end I had a draw.

116-112 Porter is a laughable scorecard.
