Does the guy at the beginning say that Willard is 300lb?

This is also a pretty cool visual representation of what Dempsey looks like next to a SHW.

Great find Rez! and yeah I think he does say 300.

I think this video goes to show how much Willard truly towered over Dempsey.

Great find Rez. Even when Dempsey old as he was is fooling around, he hurts you.
That was in his nature...His destruction of the Giant Willard in 1919 was like David destroying Goliath, 2500 years ago...

    Hey Burt!

You're right, its like he cant help himself.

It's funny how he finally stops after Willard extends that long left! Between killing a man, beating Jack Johnson, and losing to Dempsey, Willard had been through quite a lot in boxing.

Thankfully it looks like he was healthy after retirement!

Great fights from the UK of past greats, Ernie Roderick fighting Arthur Danahar, and Eric Boon, HW Jose Ibar Urtain knocking out some"body"
    keep clicking enjoy

Yeah, it looks like Dempsey would be glad to fight him again!

Great find .. funny to hear Dempsey's high voice .. Never even heard Willard talk before .. Dempsey was just a guy with a savage underpinning .. even as he evolved you can see it right below the veneer .. he was a rough customer, period.

Willard was freaky huge. There is a photo taken in the early 30's where Willard and prime Carnera are in the ring together. Jess made Primo look like a small hwt in comparison.

I thought Dempsey acted kind of like a d1ck in that video.

Willard is clearly an older man. He was 14 years older than Dempsey. He looks like he can't even stand up straight. He's clearly in no shape at all. And, when posing for pictures, he doesn't come close when he's faking an uppercut.

Then Dempsey starts throwing punches at his face, and punching him in the stomach.

Holyfield is 53. Foreman is 67. George isn't on much television these days. He's clearly an older man now. Can you imagine if George and Evander got together, and George jokingly threw an uppercut that missed Evander by a foot. And then Holyfield started throwing punches at George's head and hitting him in the stomach?

I don't think people would find it that funny. And George was a helluva lot better heavyweight than Willard ever was.

i don't know, I was suprised how Dempsey decided to just start hitting an old man. I was left with: "What are you trying to prove?"

This is two former hwt champions clowning around. Nobody got hit in the face. Dempsey is throwing punches at Willards arms/gloves. The tap to the belly was just that...a tap. Willard smiles throughout.

You can tell Willard is actually defending himself when Dempsey starts throwing punches at his face.

They were just posing for pictures. Willard clearly wasn't expecting that.

Willard wasn't that fragile, you can tell how he dances about.

But yeah film making was just a completely different culture back then.
