He is facing horrible opposition. White gave him problems. His muscle bound physique is going to catch up with him eventually when he faces a world class opponent not intimidated by him.
Most heavyweights at one point or another get stopped so technically yes he is a KO waiting to happen, it might just be a very long time before we see it. People are dismissing AJ's chin far too early. I don't think he has a McCall, Ali, Vitali, Mercer level chin but it's far too soon to know he's hiding china. Bowe was rocked twice by Tyrell Biggs early on in his career, Holyfield took a count against Bert Cooper, Ali was dropped by Henry Cooper, Holmes was dropped by Kevin Isaac. Sometimes fighters even with good chins get rocked or even dropped.
he is stiff and robotic, unlike the Klits at that age who were light on their feet and elusive. Parker to me is more mobile and might have a better chin.
He is a bit stiff....and I really don't think he's improving on that aspect any from fight to fight. Probably because he keeps gaining weight. Parker is definitely more mobile, I'd love to see that fight! I am not sure who would win but I think it'd be fun to watch. :bbb
So was Audley Harrison, who was KO'd on his 18th fight. Anyone who is familiar with Joshua's amateur career knows he is a bit chinny. Maybe not as bad a Harrison's, but chinny none the less. Joshua's better learn defense fast. He has zero head movement and is open to a right hand. He was in there vs a slow-handed punching bag last Saturday night, and I felt he took his foot off the gas a bit, perhaps because he's too " pumped up " with muscle, and would be better served training for speed and distance as opposed to bulk. I see Joshua as a poor man's Wladimir Klitschko. The hand speed isn't as great, the right and right hand not as hard. Clearly a top 5 talent today. I hope he doesn't belt milk like Wilder and tests his title vs top 10 or 5 ranked opponents.
There's no way in hell his handlers are gonna put him in the ring with a live body. Not gonna happen anytime soon...
Yes this worrying aspect seems to be getting worse he reminds me a bit of Bruno when he was young pre Bonecrusher. blew away everyone with his power but lacked stamina with all those muscles late in fights. Joshua needs less bulk and muscles and more speed and stamina .more Holmes less hulk.
Joshua must be doing something right judging by how many negative threads and posts are popping up. The sad sacks of society are the first to try and bring down people who are successful. Being chinny didn't stop Klitschko from being classed as an atg on this forum.
