There was a long period of time where Carl Froch who was near the end of his career was quiet about a Golovkin fight,but i never remember Golovkins team shouting to get the fight on either.The weight probably was an issue.I don't believe Froch ducked him tbh.

This had the potential to be fight of the year and then Froch decided at his age that it was one challenge too far and so hung them up.

The anti-anything Golovkin brigade would have quickly written Froch off as old, shot and having Ward problems had GGG beaten him but it would have a been a great fight regardless.
