It could've gone either way tbh. Personally I think Porter won but it was an awesome match that everyone won.

I thought a draw would of been fair. Nobody deserved to lose that fight.

It was the kind of fight where whoever came in the ring as the champ would leave as the champ. Thurman got the A side treatment. I think he did enough to win as champion but he wouldn't win if it was "Porter's belt" on the line.

Thurman won. I still can't see why people think Porter won or got a draw. He did some decent work in there, but only for about five rounds and that's really pushing it.

Here's the thing. Porter smothered a lot of his work, and when he wasn't doing that, he was swinging for the fences a la Ricardo Mayorga. Factor in his face first offense, and in reality there wasn't too much there. There were a couple of rounds where he worked Thurman over pretty good, and I thought he was going to change the momentum of the fight. However, he never did especially the last two rounds. He really needed those rounds to either get a draw or win the fight, and it appeared that he let off the gas big time. Either that or those big shots from Thurman were getting to him.

    Thurman won the fight, period.

Porter needs to hire a world class trainer. I know he loves his dad, but love will only get you so far. He needs someone to teach him how not to smother his own work, and tell him what adjustments he needs to make in a fight. Porter maybe able to pull it off next time, if he adds a few wrinkles to his game.

Close fight. I had it either a draw or a Thurman SD.

Thurman won it fair and square. A very close and competitive fight. Something we dont regularly see at WW anymore (as no 2 fighters fight in their prime anymore, or they cherry pick 3 weight classes below).

    Great fight by both fighters.

    But

    Thurman won, fair and square

I think most would agree it was a close fight but anybody with 20/20 vision would have given the edge to Thurman. If you think otherwise, you should probably become a boxing judge because most are terrible like yourself.
