He pulled out of the Kevin Johnson fight with a stress fracture in his back and returned soon after having acquired even more lean muscle. Extraordinary.
I don't think Haye would of beaten the AJ before Brazeale that demonstrated great power punching. But the poor weak AJ that fought on Saturday Haye has a great chance of KOing him. I can see AJ seriously improving his strength before returning in Novembet
Do you understand that boxing isn't about muscle, physique, and strength ? Joshua has poor technique, no movement, and zero boxing IQ. He's in the position he's in due to poor opposition, careful management and promotion, and having decent power. Haye would lean down for the fight, then use head movement and footwork to avoid Joshua's heavy artillery for 6 or 7 rounds, tiring and frustrating Joshua in the process. I think Haye would stop him in the later rounds.
Yes I get you but my point is if AJ fought like he did against Brazeale then Haye has a real chance but if AJ comes back with the strength he had against his previous opponents then Haye gets KOd
Do you guys think PEDs are some kind of magic pills that as soon as you come off them you become skinnier, your power weakens etc? That's the PED's level of knowledge I would expect in primary school, these substances simply do not work this way
I have very little sympathy for him on the endorsement front- surely he can't be doing that much to burn him out, and if it's all too much don't take the money. He's on PPV from his 15th fight- no other fighter in this country has ever been in this position, maybe he needs to get back to basics.
AJ would be wise to trim down and lose some muscle, vs Haye he needs to come in light to have a chance.. A few weeks off would do him some good, maybe somewhere nice and hot to relax..
I must have watched a different fight to some of you guys last saturday because I thought that was AJ's best all round performance so far, going 7 rounds against a big tough guy (although without much boxing skill) will have done him the world of good. He showed a good stiff jab and good footwork to prevent Breazeale from landing any counter punches. You can clearly see AJ is maturing as a fighter but still needs to keep active IMO and fight 3-4 times a year.
