    I think that was Louise Fletcher, mother of Frank "The Animal" Fletcher and Anthony Fletcher; she was upset after Frank lost a decision to Sypion.

    She should have attacked Frank's manager, Marty Feldman, for boneheadedly taking that fight when Fletcher already had a sure title shot against Hagler lined up.

    Yeah, I don't know if it was coke, but their was certainly some type of performance enhancer, maybe ephedrine or speed, if not coke.

    Pryor took hellacious shots in the 13th and it looked like Alexis was taking over.

    Then, the bottle is administered.

    Then, Pryor bolts out for the 14th round and can't miss a punch.

    Fight over.

    Along these lines and may open a separate thread...

    How does Holmes-Ali and Ali-Patterson (either fight I guess) compare. I think the latter was more brutal and mean spirited, the former more part of the game.

    Well, one of the most disgusting things was the tampering with long standing boxing tradition and shortening the title distance from 15 to 12 rounds.....all in the interest in being a ***** to network tv.

    Watching Johnny Owen die in the ring, seemingly hopelessly overmatched and too courageous for his own good, was tops on my list before hearing that fans threw urine on him as he was led out on a stretcher,

    Second Place goes to subhumans who convinced Jerry Quarry to take a vicious one-sided beating from Ron Cramner in his last fight by going along with his delusions that he could return to the top of the division.
