Tell me then which opponent would Joshua lose to if he fought these 17 fights in the same timeframe has Tyson did? He still knocks them out in impressive fashion.

I have a DVD collection at home with the vast majority of Tyson's early prospect fights, and watching them I can't see a single one of those guys getting out of the first round against Joshua.. Even Mike Jameson who was a big man and tough journeyman who took Tyson five rounds would get flattened before the bell rang to end round 1...

Agree. Mike Jamison is the only one who can last longer than 3 minutes, and it's still unlikely.

AJ opposition in his 17 fights is comparable to Lennox's. But AJ tomato cans in his early 10 fights were still slightly better

    AJ best opponents

    1) Whyte
    2) Breseale
    3) Martin

    Lewis
    1) Mason
    2) 40 y.o. Weaver
    3) Ocasio

Agreed.. And most of us aren't even comparing his opposition to Lewis's or Tyson's, but rather Bowe's which was arguably the worst of the bunch.

Ive seen all of Tyson fights too and there were a number of his early opponents who would give Joshua rounds. Forget their names , but they were movers and AJ isn't banging any mover out in one round.

On the flip side nobody AJ has beaten so far makes it past the first round again Mike.

Not a hope in hell would Breazeale see the second , let alone the 7th.

joshua is extremely fluid for a big man with a long wingspan and loads of power. Those guys aren't arent lasting much past the intro unless all they do is run circles around the ring for dear life.

Nah.. If Mike Jameson, Don Halpin and Larry Sims can go rounds with him I'm pretty sure some of Joshua's opponents can do the same.. Hell Keven Johnson might even be able to hang in there for the distance in a scheduled four rounder.

None of AJ's opponents as yet were able to box off the back foot. None of them were fleet of foot. He isn't coming at you like a freight train like Tyson was. He fights in spurts.

Jason Gavern took him to round 3 ffs. He's too plodding to take those movers out early.

Shot , old , on the verge of retirement Kevin John would not last 2 rounds sitting on the ropes against Mike.

Exactly, it's the same with Lennox Lewis. I'd put money on Joshua finishing the same opponents more impressively. The kid is a breath of fresh air, like a giant Mike Tyson.

You've forgot their names but you can remember them? Well I'll tell you how many would trouble him for a few rounds...... None, zero, zilch.

What have their name got to do with anything? Nothin , zero , zilch.

Mike blasted away movers. AJ did not. AJ is a plodder. Tyson was far from one.

Jesus Christ, who the F@$k were all these great "movers" you speak of?? You're taking these tomato cans and trying to turn them into Muhammad Ali and what's more cant even produce their names.. None of those first 17 guys had any skill or talent... None of them.. The first dude Tyson ever fought who even resembled a decent fighter was Jesse Ferguson and that was in his 18th bout. And Jesse was smart enough to frustrate Tyson by holding on to force a DQ loss instead of a stoppage.. Tyson couldn't finish him, and so you know, I don't think boxrec lists it as such but it's on film.. Mike Jameson extended him into the fifth with minimal clinching and even complained when the ref stopped it !!! Had a different guy been the third man in the ring, Jameson ( a limited sparring partner type opponent ) might have been the first to take Tyson to the cards. If Jameson could hang in there with Mike then I'm pretty sure the 6'7", 250 lbs Dominic Brazeale could have as well...

Unbelievable... Have you HONESTLY seen Anthony Joshua fight, Dino? The man is probably the most mobile and fluid that anyone can be at 6'6", 245 lbs.. He has the quickness and athleticism to be a point guard in the NBA .. Calling a guy like THAT a "plodder" is either:

    A. a comment coming from someone who's never seen him fight outside of maybe a few 30 second highlight reels.

    Or

    B. an embarrassing level of ineptitude on what real athleticism is..

In either case you're a dishonest poster who's testimonies can't be trusted anyway.. Wasn't it you who made a bet with mongoose that you'd leave the forum upon losing the wager then reneged on the agreement?? I'm pretty sure it was..
