The best versions of the two older fighters. It could have happened, Holmes was forever calling George out.
    Who ya got?

Holmes takes it by decision and probably would have in the 70's as well.

I'd lean towards Old Foreman over Old Holmes but Prime Holmes over Prime Foreman.

Holmes as an old guy was a lot slower and more flat footed than his prime version ... Foreman too, but Foreman always relied on power and durability to get the job done. So Foreman lost less as an old guy than Holmes.

Seems to me that Old Foreman would be able to force old Holmes into a firefight and imho there's only one winner there and it isn't Holmes.

I think prime Holmes would have picked Foreman apart at range and won a decision.

Holmes not fit to carry George's jockstrap, Foreman by KO.

The style of holmes did depend of speed, footwork and reflexes, and he lost all this in his 40s,missmatch,foreman destroys him ,mercy tko stoppage,if you pick holmes here you are a pathetic troll

I wouldn't be surprised to see Holmes come out on top.

F&D always has a nuanced and carefully considered opinion ;)

Holmes would win and Foreman knew it.

Foreman stops holmes in 1976 when holmes wanted no part of him and in 90s specially when holmes was nothing but a skinny framed guy with fat,no power to worry george,no speed,no reflexes and nothing of nothing, foreman has the edge in everything in the 90s,power strength, chin, stamina, tough mind etc

The one who picked holmes by stoppage should kill yourself urgently,a peak holyfield could not do it but a pig holmes could right? Just kill yourself piece of garbage

Don't get all mad. Foreman obviously would eat jabs all night.

    Relax F&D. It's all opinions.

For my money Holmes looked pretty average on his comeback trail (check out fights like the Art Card fight) whereas Foreman got to the top beating some fairly tough dudes. That's why I'm going with Foreman.
