Isn't Eubank Jr guaranteed at least 4 million for this fight + other money from sponsors? He's in a win-win situation.

 

Imo he deserve some respect but not any special amount.

1. It should just be a given that boxers are willing to fight other guys in their division

2. A bunch of other guys have fought Golovkin and other dangerous opponents

If I'm being totally honest, this matchup has a Mayweather-Pacquiao feel to it: I won't believe it's actually going to take place until they are both in the ring together, and the bell rings to start the first round.

Assuming GGG vs CEJ does happen, Golovkin will waste no absolutely no time and effort in ruthlessly divesting Chris Eubank Jr. of all his precious minerals, rendering Junior a beaten, broken, battered husk. :yep

 

Canelo doesn't have the minerals to fight Golovkin at 160, or even 157: we all know that. He'd rather drop down to 154, fight Liam Smith for the WBO title, then fight an Adrien Broner or an Antonio Margarito at 155 next Cinco de Mayo.

That's why I said what I said a few posts up. The Eubanks have s habit of doing this: calling out Golovkin, Jacobs or Saunders, using those names to get leverage for themselves, and then fighting guys at British level. atsch

Hopefully Hearn will call the Eubanks' bluff, and back them into a corner at some point. It's the least they deserve for all their hot air and bluster.

 

It's not official and until it actually signed and announced I think you should hold judgement.

Jr wants it, I have no doubt about that but Sr has to agree the deal and anybody who knows about Sr knows is he is a nightmare to work with so let's just wait until Hearn announces it.

I think it will happen but there is always a chance it won't.
