Is Brook-Vargas actually going to happen?

It's all gone a bit quiet. Hearn said it was pretty much done. It will be disappointing if this fight doesn't materialise and he ends up fighting another mando.

 

Hearn is getting exposed to his fighters now....brook must be realising hes now 3rd in line....as apposed to.2 nd in line before Eubank joined matchroom....brook needs to leave hearn

 

It should do. Vargas seems willing and winning another belt could be quite important in getting big fights in the future. I'd be a little bit surprised if it didn't happen.

 

If Spence is the mando it might not be too disappointing.

 

I think it will happen, just not as originally planned if the GGG v Eubank fight takes place.

The Sheffield Star reported that the Sheffield Steelers (ice hockey team) have been told they can't have the arena on October 8th due to a Sky Sports boxing show. I'm not sure if the report is 100% accurate but I can see this happening.

Someone mentioned to me that it wont be happening hed heard it from sources close to brook i took it with a pinch of salt because people intentionaly or not put a spin on it. Also people change there minds.

Vargas and brook both signed fight contracts. Vargas has not signed his agreement with top rank yet.

Vargas is getting 3x his biggest purse

 

Brook's whole career has been a slow burner. Moved along very slowly with FW for 7 years. Moved to Hearn became Mandatory in Oct. 2012 but finally had a world title fight nearly 2 years later. Now 2 years after winning the world title he is still waiting for a good fight.

Not sure whether Brook is unlucky or there is something more too it.
