GGG will deserve little credit for KO'ing Eubank Jr

I'm surprised by the amount of threads hyping up Eubank. He's a nobody, holds the British (!) middle weight title, went life and death with BJS. Has zero punch and seems to have mediocre stamina.

I'm a fan of GGG but he deserves next to no credit for this win. Eubank's record is atrocious.

If he's receiving a career high payday I can't blame the guy. But I find it funny how all the little g fans are pretending to be businessmen now that Eubank jr seems like a likely candidate. They always trashed Floyd for his "business decisions", and Canelo. Well most ignorant scumbags are hypocrites so that might explain it.

just above domestic level is eubank, fans moan about lack of opponents for ggg but they want it both ways

    1. they say no decent fighter at middleweight wants to fight him(all scared)
    or
    2. when other fighters from diff weights call him out alot of the same fans say why should he move weights and not solidify his mw legacy(despite the legacy being built on 2nd rate opponents because apparently the top tier are scared of him)

I hope the alvarez fight can be made not for anyones legacy but because it would be a really good hyped up fight, ggg doesn't have that stand out win on his resume and time is not on his side

Eubank is overhyped by some of the Brit supremacists and favored over Golovkin by some of his fiercest haters, but in reality he's an athletic but flawed low to mid top10 middleweight and not much of a threat.

He just adds to Golovkin's growing list of consensus top10 foes, putting it in the double digits, and a pretty good payday to boot.
    IF JR SIGNS THAT IS!

I think that's fair, he sort of adds to the list of 'good' fighters

I know its very typical to generalize and label people in these low IQ forums, but I hope u understand not all Golovkin fans are anti-Mayweather - It´s obviously quite ridiculous statement.

Personally I criticized Floyd for not fighting Manny when they were both in their prime. Secondly, I criticized Floyd for fighting Guerrero, Berto and Ortiz when he had much better options on the table (Khan, Thurman, Jacobs). I also criticized him for fighting Marques and dictating such an unfair advantages in the process. And my opinion hasn´t changed a bit. I haven´t criticized his business first approach - Khan fight would have made more money than fighting Berto, Guerrero or Ortiz. Thurman or Jacobs would have generate similar money as Berto, Ortiz or Guerrero.

I would criticize Golovkin if he chooses to fight 147 pounder instead of opponent of his own size. I would criticize him fighting Heiland if other options include Jacobs, Saunders or Canelo. I would criticize him for fighting Eubank Jr. if he had alternative opponents like Jacobs, Saunders or Canelo on the table.

Agreed. I like Golovkin but Eubank Jr shouldn't be hyped as a good opponent. He hasn't done enough.

Would be a great story if Jr. Could pull this off... The timing is perfect for him. (Age)

I'm more interested in how HBO tries to sell this one.

It's not just a business decision. Eubank is probably the best fighter who agrees to fight GGG. Canelo is out of the question, Jacobs is set for Mora rematch, BJS won't take the fight. Sure he could fight some dangerous (and totally unknown) prospect but that'd be far fetched when you have an opportunity like this one.

Not a bad fight, my only gripe is that no one was talking up Eubank until Golovkin showed interest. Now hardcore Golovkin fans are over rating eubank.
